6d old autos/ Do these look healthy?

Leaves are dulling from green to yellowish. Have in straight FFOF. 12in above led quantum board light. Had tap water in humidifier and it was putting that white chalky stuff all over my tent. Was doing 18/6 then switched to 24/0 for a day just to see what would happen. Not feeding any nutes except mycos. Any suggestions or advice. All criticism welcome!

GSC was stunted since germination. She seems to be pulling through tho.

They are fine.

FFOF will keep them going strong for a while without needing nutes.

See answer above ...let them acclimate to FFOF , some strains have a tough start in it due to heavy amendments already loaded.
All you have to do is water it .... ph 6.5 to match the FFOF and let it do it’s thing.

Tip : throw as much light on it as you can , pick a cycle 24/0 - 20/4 or 18/6 and leave it static thru entire grow.
Autos have a limited time to setup root base and initial structure, start screwing with plant up front will affect its growth.
Hence the long cycles shown .... above 18/6 plant will be exposed to longer light and use it to power growth. However , 18/6 is one of the more common auto cycles.

Toss humidifier.... what are your normal temps under cycle and dark time ?
Too moist of a grow area can be an issue , especially during flower.

Yea I think I kinda f’d up at first I was giving it distilled water that wasn’t ph’d. Just started using bottled ro water it’s already perfectly ph 6.5. Gonna go with 20/4. Just started putting distilled water in humidifier as well.

Dark drops down to 65f if I don’t put a space heater by it, with it 70f. Humidity is always between 55-80 mostly around 63. One time I woke up to 90.

Day is like 74f. Humidity the same.

Humidity goes up, temp goes down vice versa.

Dark and day is for actual night time and day time, not cycle. I’ve just been trying to keep them consistent. To control temp at night I have to open tent half way and let space heater heat it up. So it’s not too moist in there. The floor mat is always dry. I have an old house n I can’t plug too much shit up in same area or circuit will trip.

There may be physiological processes going on in the dark that folks just don’t know about, especially since cannabis is relatively poorly studied as a crop.
In other words, my gut feeling goes against it but maybe I am just a luddite.

Also no disrespect to either of you but I water my weed from a hose just like all my other backyard plants and I do fine. You may be optimizing something by getting the PH perfect but it sounds like a lot of effort. Unless your water is totally out of whack I don’t see the point — but again, luddite.

Long story short, it was OK in the end. I sort of categorize this constant PH stuff with the sudden explosion of kids who are allergic to PBJ sandwiches, dust, animals, fucking breathing. First world problems. But again, luddite...

I am sure someday folks will all raise their children in bubbles just like we do our weed these days and will see “superior results,” so take my drunk rambling with a grain of salt.

I was doing research and found that under 24/0 cannabis will grow bigger and can thrive, but without the break that it gets from darkness may effect the quality of bud. The darkness gives it time to stop doing what it normally does under light and focus on other things. But 24/0 for sure will produce bigger plants. I myself want to give it a small break so I’m choosing the 20/4 schedule.

I don’t even cook with it let alone drink it, super high ph, super high ppm. In order for cannabis to uptake all of its nutrients correctly the optimal ph is between 6-7. So I would rather be safe than sorry. This is my first grow and I have no experience planting anything.

Not sure where you live but I am a strong advocate for growing in the ground under the sun. Nature does the work for you.

Take this coco coir for example. I don’t doubt that some expert grower will get better yields with that or going hydroponic.

But then every person who has never grown a fucking tomato jumps into the deep end with coco coir and hydro, then run into issues.

I don’t know experience with plants you have, but growing stuff in the ground under the sun makes you understand a plant.

That’s not a knock against indoor guys, since I do my fair share of indoor — I actually consider it much harder for that very reason. Outdoors, you let nature do the work.

Your plants look fine, seems like you’re not overwatering them which is the biggest problem at that stage. I’ve never grown autos but I am auto-curious, LOL.

I would be very interested in crossing an auto into my genetics project, not to create a new auto but to see how much those genes speed up outdoor flowering in photos...

I agree, but unfortunately I don’t have the option to grow outdoors. Gotta keep it secluded to my tent. But, I’m keeping it as natural as possible.
