Co2 tank worth it ?

A friend of mine is giving up the growing business and offered me a full 20lb tank for $25. I have a 5x5 tent with one hlg 550 and one cmh 315. Temperature and humidity are in stable range. Would this tank make any difference in such an environment ?

$25 for a 20lb tank is a good deal, co2 in a tent can be complicated they aren't air tight and without exhaust you get heat and humidity building up real quick

NO. A Co2 tank is for a sealed room environment, not for a tent. A sealed room is one that you don't exhaust to the outside, you maintain your heat and humidity within the room, and seal up all the nooks and crannies so you can maintain a high ppm of Co2 without it escaping. It's great if you've got a good sized grow that's totally dialed in, but I'd never do it for a tent or even a room grow inside my house. It's not going to help unless you are a pro anyway, you can make more gains elsewhere.

I am by no means a pro. As a matter of fact the friend thats giving up growing said jokingly that's he's giving it up because people like me are now growing. Thank you for confirming my initial thoughts about co2 in a home tent.

What did he mean by that then
That any fool with a couple hundred bucks is now growing weed. I guess there's more supply than demand. Too many hands in the pot. Idk this guy been growing for 20+ years idk if he sells to dispensaries or what he does with it exactly. I don't ask.

Value alone. That is a good price. Around here, 20lb tanks can easily be sold on craigslist for around $75.

I know because I'm actively looking to pickup an extra tank. My hydro shops just do a tank exchange vs refill.

If you're anywhere near the Philly area it's available for $25. I don't think it would do much for my simple setup so I'm passing on it.

If your temp and humidity is in a “stable range” while running I guess your exhaust and intake. Turn them off and get back to us on how stable it is then.

buy it and flip it for some cheddar cheese. $25 for a tank is a steal. I got mine $100 each but I ended up copping another one from my hydro store for free.

Depends on your ambient co2.
In my 1800 sqft house with two teenagers myself my wife and three german shepherds, I just have to shut off the house air circulator for an hour and I get 900 to 1100 ppm readings house wide. You'll need a meter for checking your levels anyway so it makes sense to buy that first, to see if you need any further supplementation.
