I have spent hours and hours researching and reading, learning so much from people on this forum.
One thing i dont understand is how two manufactures can use the same chip, driver and have similar PPFD (at least in the center) yet one has almost twice the amount of leds
Umol KLZ-650W 8 bar - 80watt per bar with 300pcs (total 8 bar 2400pcs) LM301B = 0.25 watt per chip
Meanwell HLG-600
Kingbright 600W 5 bar - 70watt per bar with 256pcs (total 5 bar 1280pcs) LM301H = 0.45 watt per chip
Meanwell HLG-600
Meijiu A8 650W is similar with 1920pcs and 0.31watt
How can two bars use the 'same' chip and the same driver, both around 1200 PPFD (in the centre) have two complete different watt per chips?
What is actually happening with the two boards, with one running almost double? Is the umol over driving the leds or the kingbright really inefficient ?
Thank you for the wisdom !
