Organic soil water only

Not much to say here. Only have a shitty phone so sorry advance for some photo quality. But here we go
After years of gardening, trial and test. Here we are.
A soil recipe that works for both no-till and recycled containers.

Day one of flower was yesterday. So let's watch the stretch.

Strains. Gg4 In scrog.
Bubba kushxgelato on the right.
Wedding cake og kush on the left. (Super excited about the bushier pheno)

Anyway finally got my water dialed in at the new house. Turned a few rounds but though is through a normal together for the winter.

600w hps x 2 with 4 4ft 8000k uv tubes.

Gavita 1700 on the four 15 g.

Update about ten days into flower.

The stretch under the gavita 1700 is so limited even with the light 4 ft above the canopy.

Nice stretch And structure to the hps room.

Have a nice yarrow flush and peas.

Another week into flower. Really liking how the gelato og is frosting up already.
Also that yarrow is looking beautiful.

That's so true. It feels good to just sit back and watch....for about a week. Lol. I get antsy and feel like I should be doing something, anyhing, to help the plants along. Sometimes the best thing to do is nothing, and that is often the hardest thing to do, er not do. For me at least. Good luck!

nice kind sir. Yeah of course. This was a new mix. 1/3 peat.1/3ewc. 1/6 perlite. 1/6 pumice. Base


Per cf
3/4 cup kelp
3/4 cup alfalfa
3/4 crb
1 cup Katanga/Neem

2 cups basalt
2cups volcanic rock dust

1/2 rock phosphate
3/4 oyster
1 cup gypsum
1/2 cup humix acid
1 cup malted barley (whole)
4 cups activated biochar compost

That's it

I do compost tea one time.
Occasional top dress with barley/ crab/kelp/ alfalfa.

Occasional aloe tea.
Mammoth p added every few weeks for fun. Got a few free bottles to try out.
My hps room is doing well. I just hate the pictures. But here's an idea. 8x7 gallon. Same mix.

You don’t topdress any neem? You put whole barley in your soil?

I assume you’ve seen some of my threads about my grow starting up. Keep jumping back and forth whether to do beds or big pots, looks like I’m not even doing notil until I do beds. Looking good dude, keep itcoming.

Your right. My top dress does have neem. It's actually the same as my Nutrient mix from the soil. I did try to pulverize the top dress this time in a food processor just for fun.

I bought the beds. Or one bed. 4x8 with the blusoak kit. Can't wait to set up. I'm gunna start a whole thread when all the pieces come together.

Barley is best used freshly ground in a tea or topdressed like @green_machine_two9er does. Grind it as fine as you can and mix it with some coconut wster , aloe, ful power, and silica and water it in for an enzyme supercharge.

Huge fan of barley listened to a coots pod cast a while back I use to use in teas sst but won’t be again found a local brewery I can buy malted barley whole so as above will be adding whole barley to my soil but also top dressing with various barley crushed/powder can’t remember the exact enzyme but malted barley and rye are high up in my future plans water only no-til is still elusive to me but getting there I think/hope

I did try the whole barley with this batch globally. I replaced brown rice. Which has always been a staple for me.

Thinking that the barley used with teas and top dressing is great. So why not try to have my carbohydrate source in the soil be malted barley as well.

As far as no till and making the switch. I leanered irs like the first time diving in a pool. Just gotta do it and you'll figure out how to make less splash over time.
Pick a bigger pot 15g plus. Or a bed. Put a trusty soil mix. Nothing too hot.

Build a soil cover crop blend is nice.
Sow in your cover crop /living mulch.
Add layer of ewc.
Add layer of straw.
During stretch leaves defoliate scan be placed on top straw layer.

Keep moisture consistent as possible
Let it go. Lol. My first no till was a giant tote of soil that was recycling and I ran out of pots. Pushed the whole tote into my room and plant four plants in it. The secret for me is not overthinking it
Harvest at the soil level and leave all roots. Plant next to existing "stump"
There's no need to wait. But always be checking and noting anything through harvest to make a topdress plan.
it can get so dialed it you can have Zero fade. Weather thats good or bad is up to the gardener.

Also nice to be back on here. I took a few years off the forum. it was right here on riu I "unlearned" growing from some members. The organicheads. Lol. But I do remember you kind sir! Happy to have helped in any function.
