leave all leaves where they are.
they serve a purpose. fan leaves do most of the photosynthesis, if you remove them because you think they are blocking light you arent doing the plant any favors.
the fan leaves are the ones that need light not the bud sites

I disagree with this. Last i checked, people grew this stuff for buds, not leaves. It's true that the plant will indeed need the leaves during flowering, and that they eventually start to die off anyways so leave em right?... not neccessarily. If the leaves are blocking light on the bottom to the point where its damn near dark all the time don there, then it may be a good idea to do some trimming, or to avoid cutting altogether try tucking the leaves so that they're outof the way. I'm not familair with the scrog technique, but i'd imagine that lst'ing wouldn't be out of the question either. Personally, i'm not afraid to cut leaves off as i feel neccessary. Do some experimenting with different ways and see what works best for u

WTF. like Phinxter said the buds dont need the light the leafs need the light. bud doesnt use photosynthesis the leafs do. "People grew this stuff for bud not leafs" what the fuck is juice dude. ok just fuck it cut off every damn leaf on the plant who knows maybe ull grow bud by doing that. ight peace

ScROG is a "screen of green" where the plant isgrown with a screen or fence type mesh above it so its leaned over like LST but forced to stay there with a screen and then individual branches are trained out thru a screen hole. allows loads of light to the bud sites and really doesnt lend itself to choppin off fan leaves.
i do agree with tucking leaves out of the way to get more light to lower fan leaves even very selective trimming of leaves to allow more penetration to the mid section of the plant.
but as a general rule to noobs i say leave them be until you have a few grows under your belt so that you can truely gauge the effect your pruning has on over all growth.
once you have a few grows i think everyone needs to experiment with different techniques. it can only improve your skill in the garden

calm ur dumbass down, who said anything about cuttin off every leaf? No one ever said hey man get those leaves off, all of em. leaves are always secondary to buds, though they are important in making the buds as well, but think about it, how many people are on here posting pics goin 'first grow-how many leaves will i get off it?' Look man, grow all the leaves u want, ur way and mine obviously differ, but both will work in the end.

As a grower who removed almost all fan leaves for decades, I can attest to the fact that leaving them until they come off with the slightest touch will result in larger bud harvests.
