what about 2 pp plants in that size . i was thinking of actually bumping down to 3 plants 2 pp and 1 auto

Depends what lights you have. If you have 2 of them in a 2x4.. theu probably only pull 100-150w from the wall. There should be a label that gives you the info on the power.
To sum my input up, assuming the lights are pulling 100 actual watts.. there isn't enough light to use the entire space. It may be bright in there..
but you have no idea til you grab a real light 200-300w+ of white light.
I have 300w running in my 2x4. Those blurple lights are in the closet.

Wouldn't mix auto and photo's. It's not ideal to give an auto 12/12 on the schedule for light.
you want 18/6 - 20/4 or 24/0 with no dark period.
You would need to flip the PP to 12/12 to flower.. I have been vegging a PP for 7 weeks. It's not pretty.
I had to do some unspeakable things to it. lol

1 photoperiod.. 1 auto under 18/6 for the past 7 weeks.
i definitely think i’ve been persuaded in a great way . i decided just to do the 2 pp gelato and try to get maximum yield and potency off those those my first time, i know i’m new but i’m a very competitive person within my self so i know i’ll be planning my next grow during the 1st and give my self challenges. i am still pretty confused wether both veg and bloom should be on for seedlings or how to decide this

Give each their own light, keep it far enough at first so you don't stress the seedlings. Put on both veg and bloom for better spectrum.

You can put the veg light only as small seedlings. When they get a few leaves on them I would flip both switches on with the light at 18" or drop the light to around 12" with just the blues on.
Before you do that tho, what's the power draw on each light?

I recommend using any preventative to keep away aphids and other bugs from your plants. Spray the soil with Neem oil to kill any fungus gnat eggs and spray underneath the leaves to kill aphid eggs. Use sticky fly traps. Grow companion plants along with it so it can promote plant growth and repel aphids. Have 2 fans going. One blowing on top of the plant and one blowing underneath the leaves. You want to avoid powdery mildew and bugs laying eggs underneath your plant leaves and on the soil. Ladybugs to kill any aphids.

What's best companion plant for ahpids that's you've used? Also, I heard lady bugs get caught up in all the fans. Maybe a mesh screen if it doesn't interfere with airflow? Im def a noob (hence posting to learn in this sub forum heh) but everything I've read about ladybugs says their god-bugs for growers. So any help on ways we can all can use em would be epic
that’s crazy that i can use neem oil for my plants i’m sorta health concious and the neem plant has soooo many beneficial factors ! haha i have this toothpaste fluoride free where’s it’s based around the need plant . so that’s pretty cool

One thing I learned about planting companion plants is to make sure you plant them where they can get light because fan leaves may block them. I put my companion plant seeds on the outer side of my fabric pot and growing some in a solo cup. The fragrant from the mints will repel aphids. The competition for water and soil will promote root growth.

This is my setup for my second grow. I have a camera hooked to my computer so i can constantly watch my plants without opening the tent which may stress the plant and introduce fungus spores or aphids. Each plant has its own companion plant and nematodes (to kill gnat larvae/eggs). I have 2 fly traps set up. I'm going to introduce ladybugs later on. I also have a dehumidifier, which i probably wont use until late veg, because i want to avoid any form of mold which thrives on warm, moist, dark areas. a scrog net is setup. my first grow i had mushrooms growing in one of the pots, which signifies healthy soil and promotes competition for soil nutrients. i cut off the mushrooms before then can create more spores because i dont want to risk its effect on my buds. neem oil used once a week. im recreating an ecosystem with organisms creating competition. Im just waiting for my new lights to be shipped.
when i loook at the power consumption it says 240 give or take unless that’s the wrong thing to look at
