I have read of similar results else where as well.and as far as air pruning goes.... i just pulled two root balls out of my pots, and where there are holes in the sides, the roots are only about 1/4 of an inch back in the soil, but seemed clustered around the holes back away from the light just barely into the soil,
it lookes to me like bunches of roots formed near the holes to breath... so if you look at it like that yes it could be air pruning...
Thanks for taking the time to, even though others pointed it out, point out once again that he didn't say air pruning...As others pointed out, it is not air pruning per se, but awesome resuls nonetheless
What strain? From seed? What growing media? They look fantastic.yes i take 5 gal buckets and drill a whole bunch of holes...
When you water does much leak out the side holes?i harvested 24 oz. off the two. 4 weeks veg, 8 weeks flower
Some strains keep green leaves all the way through budding like afghan kush. Some don't.Actually one thing that i was curious about was how you managed to keep pretty much every leaf on the plant nice and green right up until harvest. Im not sure exactly what stage they were at in the pictures, but they looked pretty close.
My other 2 grows, i had pretty extreme yellowing across the whole plant leading up to harvest (except for the small leaves poking out of the buds).
Do you add extra nitrogen to your feed during flower or something?
This is a decade old manSome strains keep green leaves all the way through budding like afghan kush. Some don't.
I'm ripped and plotting about drilling holes. On my next coco grow. I like the hard pots with rims for training and think some holes wouldn't hurt. Not as stoned as budbreath...
Airpots for the win @Budbreath. Organic soil auto grower.I'm ripped and plotting about drilling holes. On my next coco grow. I like the hard pots with rims for training and think some holes wouldn't hurt.
Are those Autos or photoperiodyes i take 5 gal buckets and drill a whole bunch of holes...
Using 5 gallon buckets I drill holes in the sides about 8” from the bottom. In addition to numerous drain holes on the bottoms.i drill many holes into new pots . i feel this helps with air to the roots and helps my medium to dry quicker so i can feed em more often. also over watering and roots sitting in water is never a problem.
