25 gal pots in 4x4?

So I’m doing my first living soil, and was debating on a flower bed but won’t be doing that right now. I wanted to do 20 or 25 gallon pots in a 4x4 (I COULD get a 5x5,) and wanted to do 4 plants. From my reading bigger pots are better for notill/living soil.

Am I on the right track trying to do this? I already have everythingto make this happen, besides the pots and the tent. I also only have a 600W digital phantom ballast with a flow through hood, is that too small? Can I supplement without having to buy a whole new ballast and hood?

Going to be running Bodhi and am excited to do this.

I know you've posted on some of my threads and have seen my two plants in 20 gals. I run those in half of a 4x8 so basically a 4x4. If I used a net for organization and support 4 of those would have been the absolute sweet spot I believe.
Also I am currently using 600 watts as well and its making me happy. Although there's always room for improvement!

Could you link me to your grow journal for this grow? Want to follow what you have going on.

Yeah if I could get by with my 600W I’d be happy, I could always supplement with t5 bc I don’t want to buy anything else right now.

I agree with kangaroo, 2 plants in 20-25 gal is about right in a 4x4 and a 600w should handle that well. I think 4 plants in 20-25 gal in a 4x4 is too tight. And your 600w light will be better in a 4x4 than a 5x5. If you really want to do 4 plants, scale your pot size down. I did living soil organic in 3 gal pots, but you're right, larger is better in general.

Ahhh I see what you were taking about. Bro I’m so lost whether I should do a bed or not. I randomly was pretty much gifted a house and am just throwing together a grow.

I have some good stuff coming from buildasoil, pretty much just need compost (was looking at Malibu/Oly mountain) pumice, pots/bed and a tent now.
But yea hook me up with a picture when you can. What carbon filter do you use? I have an older phresh one (good brand) but I either have to get new carbon or a new filter.
