So much for just letting the DOJ do its job in the Biden administration. Democrats really are such pussies. Sigh....

I don't see any reason for Biden to act like Trump and wade into Trump's criminality when it is not his job.

I think you are reading into Biden not getting involved as him getting involved to stop investigations, or something along those lines, which is not what he has said.

We haven't even gotten those 16 pages of un-redacted Mueller report that the judge ordered yet from Barr. They are obstructing justice hard still. Biden even putting a toe into this starts to give Trump a 'tainted jury' snowflake to try to play more games when he is appealing his inevitable judgement.

I'm not surprised the Democrats don't want anything investigated, lol.
Where do you see that?

Wait. For real though, isn't that what Trump has (wrongly) been crying about since his own executive branch had Mueller investigate a tiny portion of his campaigns over 100 contacts with the Russian military prior to becoming POTUS?

I know the Democrats have not gone all Benghazi on Trump like the Republicans did to Clinton, only doing it when Trump obstructed congress and triggered his own impeachment when he illegally withheld the whistle blower complaint on his illegally strong-arming a vulnerable ally into manufacturing dirt on a American citizens because he knew Biden would beat him in a fair campaign.

The salty tears are still flowing ....... nothing can be done to stem that flow ..... the irony of the trumpers is strong and dumb.

Chris Hayes: America Nearly Failed The Trump Stress Test For Democracy | All In | MSNBC

“The problem with the plan—the thing that stopped it—wasn't so much the institutions. It's just that Trump lost the election by too much to really pull his plan off,” says Chris Hayes discussing how democracy nearly failed amid the 2020 election.

Come on. Lets not spend years with hearings and investigations. Let trump move to Mar A Lago to live out the rest of his years. This call for incarceration of trump isn't going to do anyone any good. All it's going to do is waste resources and elevate him as a martyr to his cult like following. The best thing we can do is ignore and forget about him. He craves attention good or bad. Lets deny him that attention. There are much more pressing issues for the country than "Lock Him Up!".

I don't like trump and could care less if he's in prison or on the golf course. But this payback crap needs to stop. He's an old man that is going to fade into irrelevance.

People need to move on. It's time to look towards the future and not continue to litigate the past. He didn't kill anyone on Fifth Avenue. Let him and his misdeeds go into the halls of history. He'll always be remembered as the worst President in history and that taint will follow his family around for generations.

Let it go.

Putin is running for cover, wants to retire, but pull the strings behind the scenes and get Russia and his buddies off the hook. Vlad and his buddies want to hang onto the money they spent decades accumulating in the west. Donald owes them a half a billion already.

Let's talk about Trump and a thought exercise....

It's not about payback, it's about justice.

Justice is not always done as it make make matters worse. The problem is the following, 90% of Trump voters thing Democrats stole the election. Even if you lay out the proof for them they will not believe it. Even at this point they do not even need the old man, they are willing to follow one of his brats. As long as they spew hate toward the other side.

Appeasement encourages dictators and their followers. They will just demand we give up more.

The laws were on the books before Trump broke them. If the state can prove that he broke them, he should pay. Equal justice under the law.

It's over. Time to move on.

Focusing on prosecuting a former President of the United States is not the way towards a better future for this country. Forget trump and let him grow old on the golf course. Ignoring and forgetting him is the worst punishment you can give that attention whore.

We have things to do. Things to reverse. Things that don't need to be distracted with years of televised hearings. Screw that. Nobody has time for that nonsense. We need to rejoin the Paris Accord. We need to re-establish ties with our allies that trump destroyed. We need to get back to being the symbol of Democracy across the world.

We don't need to take trump into the future. Put him in the past and forget about that thing. That's what he fears the most. Being forgotten. Let's give him what he fears.

Absolutely not, it's not up to Joe, it's not his job, get used to the way the American legal system worked before Trump, that's all that will really occur. Presidents maintain an arms length distance from the DOJ, remember the bullshit about Bill Clinton a former POTUS talking to the Obama AG at an airport?

For perspective

I was thinking next fall might be a good time to hold a G7 special meeting on the transnational issues that are giving rise to trumpism and other such movements across the western world in particular. Over all the past 20 or 30 years has seen a great global leveling as poor places are rising rapidly, Asia and Africa in particular, we are going down as the bumps on the graph are leveled.

Look where the underlying economic conditions that are causing discontent, the genuine aggregates of grievance that racism and xenophobia are holding together. Reduce social stress, healthcare and social programs to redistribute the wealth that is accumulating at the top, economies are ecosystems and the plankton are starving. Everybody becomes an asshole when angry, at many levels, anger shuts down chunks of our brain's, hate radio seeks to enrage and then engage, in that order. All the economic gains brought by technology since the 80's have gone to the very top.

If this was a covid graph it would cause concern!
