Nothin wrong about it. That's the beauty of indoor growing, ur lights are the sun. U can change em whenever u want really, just plan on the plant at least doubling in size in the following weeks afterwords so Be sure u've got the room.

what i recommend is measure the maximum plant size for your enclosure. then subract 6-8 inches from that amount and cut it in half. once your plants have reached this height, switch to 12/12.

what kind of lights are we talkin about here? because if they are flouros or cfls, you will want to start using warm white instead of cool white, and get as many lumen as you can.

ive had my plants light on it 24 7 for 25 days haha, is dat wrong
I go only 4 weeks as I grow small plants (150 watt lights) it's up to you. What your aiming for is every square inch of your grow area to be covered with leaves to soak up as much light energy as possible.

Seriously, u need to know these things before u even begin ur grow. They should be taken into consideration as soon as that evil little plan popped in ur head. Learn everything u can throughout this grow, and hope for the best, and next time be ready. U'll be amazed how much the right conditions can increase everything from overall growth to getting the max amount of nugs on ur plants. So, study up, and put ur new skills to use grasshopper.:peace:

Hey Samisery,
You might not want to switch to 12/12 but you can shorten your light period to 18/6. This will allow your plants to ease into flowering rather than just switching them directly from 24/0 to 12/12.

I would wait to switch till it gets bigger. I would also move that light alot closer to that plant or its going to stretch.

i got slightly over 3 ft of verticle space after i subtract the space used by my light and pot/table
so i start mine flowering at 12"

yeah, what he said. If that's a CFL it can be just a couple of inches away. If that's your only light you plan on using then your big enough to switch though. Plants can triple in height when they flower. I use cfl side lights when I flower too for extra light.
