Hey fellas :-)

I've been thinking about switching from HPS to LED, but i'm lacking experience on the subject.

At the moment the best looking solution for me is
Samsung Quantum board LED 220Watt in a 2,7 x 2,7 tent

Reason being that I faovurite this light, is the wattage intake + there's a seller very close to me in my country.

Would this be appropriate?

The maximum wattage I'm able to use is around 300 (no higher, or my electricity bill will be too big sadly)

In advance, thanks for your time answering, hope y'all have a good day! :-)

Not a fan of that light. I am running 2 Spider Farmer SP2000s in a 4x4 with great results. But they are 400 total watts. Should probably have 560 total watts but its working for me. 300 seems pretty low for a 4x4.

Hey fellas :-)

I've been thinking about switching from HPS to LED, but i'm lacking experience on the subject.

I've been thinking about buying 2 of these https://www.viparspectra.com/products/reflector-series-v300

or one of the 600W models https://www.viparspectra.com/products/reflector-series-v600

I have a 120x120 (4x4) tent, that i'm using. Should i downgrade to a smaller tent? 80x80 (3x3)?

Is there any LED's you guys have found working better than this one?

Don't buy either. Those are a waste of dough.

That is a total crap light Pilto is is correct yout wattage should better and you should always go with a quantum board over a blurpie. You shoul dalso look into COBs and perhaps building your own light, Your light should be your biggest investment

Here is what you can expect with 2 Spider Farmer SP2000s or a single SP4000. I got two in the event I wanted to vary the heights but really, a single SP4000 would have been fine and save a couple bucks.

Alright, it sounds like I might have to downgrade to a 3x3 tent, and skip the Viparspectras.

Would a Samsung Quantum board LED 220Watt be suitable for a 3x3?

One thing i really lack experience on is the lighting, all help is greatly appreciated.

That looks really really nice, but i'm afraid the electricity use is going to be to high for me with this one. Also the price is around $900, my budget goes up to max $500

Ideally, you would want at least 270 real watts for a 3x3. And make sure you aren't getting ripped off when you are looking at an LED board. Some of the Amazon trash will have a model number that call is the "1000W" model, but end up being some shit blurple with only 100 watts or some shit that may or may not have happened to me when I picked up the trash lights that are now living in my mother chamber and fill me with shame when ever I look at them...

Rule of thumb is you want at least 35 watts per square foot for led (I run 50) so you are a little short but if you just run 1 or two well trained plants in it you should have a good grow. I would count on a little shy of a pound for a light that size

I have a used to have a light like that now I just use the hangers from it. Great hangers not really worth $200 but real good anyway

Yeah im not comfortable with either ebay or amazon, neither do I live in the states, so the shipping will be too long using any of those 2. Thanks :-)

Get some good genetics and definite read about plant training and you will be able to pull in at least a gram per watt on your first grow. Which when this old head started was just a crazy lie -I have now push some grows to over 2 grams and gotten close to 3 a few times :)

Do you know any model which gives off about 270 watt like you're talking about?

The samsung one looks really nice, but it's only 220 sadly.
