Yea, booze/pot and me are best friends.
The only thing that keep's me sober is pot actually, it's good enough too numb me.

Was straight once from 1978 until 1980 and was miserable as fuck essentially, then I discovered cocaine & oh boy, did I have fun :)

I consider cannabis an old friend. Maybe more like several old friends, since this strain is good for one thing and that strain is good for another etc.
Alcohol, is like a crazy ex-girlfriend. Fun to fuck with, but when you wake up and live with her, not so fun anymore.
In the last 50 years or so, I've taken a weed hiatus here and there, but she always spread her legs again, and I dove back in. I don't think it's sad that you gotta get high to exist, I think it's sad that some people would still forcibly deny you that choice.

I prefer coffee to cocaine. It's been decades since cocaine, don't miss it at all.

I like philosophy, not necessarily the academic kind where people regurgitate others ideas. a more personal truth seeking journey and examination of human behavior and the nature of things. I like chickens too, in fact I hold some in psychological bondage, and sometimes tell them, "no really I'm your representative, if it weren't for me protecting you, some bad coyote would come and attack you, that's why I need your eggs... Yea, I haven't done a line since 1982 & I also don't miss it at all.
I saw too many friend's burn out on blow & I was almost one of them, but stopped in time.
People back then thought that cocaine was a benign drug, that it was relatively safe.
Bull shit
I saw it destroy more people than heroin, and I lost a couple of friends too that fucked up drug.
Now it's herb & Irish whiskey that are my primary vices (if you can call them that :) )
Oh well, I yam what I yam :)

Yeah, the Eighties were “great” for coke, but I did most of mine in the 70’s...by dumb luck, I ended up with a friend who was a regular retailer, would stay at my place when in town. Got into strip clubs/topless bars for free, had literally all the coke I wanted, for free...for years...what a life. Finally reached the point where I’d had enough. Stopped cold. Never looked back, and still don’t want to. Happy glad no one I cared about died from it.

I always leaned towards speed in my youth in the 70's, like Dexedrine/Black Beauties/White Crosses/Meth, never was inclined too do downers/Quaaludes/heroin.
I did love my blow though :)
Cool drug in moderation, but that's the problem.
Once you do your 1st line, moderation goes out the fucking window (at least for me)
All I can say now is that I wish I had back all the money I spent on cocaine between 1979 & 1982
I'd probably be a fucking millionaire :)
