Abit late now, but for beginners, always air on the side of underfeeding, and become diligent at spotting DEFICIENCY then when you’re 100% confident at spotting it and knowing what a plant NEEDS to survive, you can start upping ur numbers to find that sweet spot.

I’ll spoil this now for you ur sweet spot isn’t the highest ec you can possibly use without seeing TOXICITIES. It’s a point between the 2 that will change as the plant matures.
Thank you very much, I appreciate the input!!!

I wouldn’t push past 850ppms on any strain every time I push past that I see issues I just pulled 18.5 oz off 1 plant with a 7 week veg from seed and never went past 850ppms strain was blue dream a know heavy feeder...other strains iv run if I went past 650-700ppms in flower I ran into issues trust me your not going to hurt your yeilds i promise you...your literally dumping money down the drain going over 850 ppm’s when u over feed them your stressing them out I don’t believe in heavy feeders I believe in plants that tolerate hot growing medium than others
Thank you for your help, I appreciate it!!

Ok thank you. Is there something you do use?
southern ag garden friendly fungicide. it's similar to hydroguard.

in hydro, you have 2 options: a sterile res or using beneficial bacteria. i've done both: both work, both are pretty cheap, both are easy.
you should think about using something to prevent rot in the future. your roots look perfect now but it doens't take much to get rot and ruin a plant quickly.

Thanks I have some great white, also I ended up thinking it was not rot, and just went with your first diagnosis, I was over feeding, drained, flushed and left her alone for a day, feed to 1000 ec and she is eating again .I really appreciate your help...check out her babys

Hey what what type of water are using?
I've heard that the chlorine in tap water can kill mycorrhiza on contact.

keep using distilled until you get a few grows under your belt. then use 1/2 distilled, 1/2 tap and see how it works for you.

one thing to check before you do that is to see what is in your tap water. your gov't should give you a free water analysis.

I did already and decided not to use right now, it contains chlorine and fluoride, so maybe a half and half like you suggest.

the chlorine isn't bad actually. it's a nutrient for cannabis. but yeah, maybe a cheap RO system in the future if you want to stop buying distilled.

Coco and soil is inferior to hydro

I'd rather dump a bunch of water than buy a medium for bugs to breed in. Not to mention that when youre done you have a huge lump of soil each time

Stick to hydro. Less problems and greater grow times. If you have the money for an RO sysyem id makd the investment if not. Get a good descaler, because tap water will clog your system with left over minerals from the tap water.
