Autoflower in a 2L pot, 6 days from sprout - when to water to runoff?

SO I've scoured the web for watering guides on these micro grows. Consensus is watering is water until runoff when the soil is dry 3 inches deep.

I'm sticking in this 2L pot start to finish and accepting that it will be small. It sprouted 6 days ago and is looking healthy with one set of decent first leaves and the 2nd set of leaves just emerging now.

It's in BioBizz AllMix and I'm growing organic. Soil was pre wetted and seed planted directly.

Today I checked the soil and it was finally pretty dry a few inches deep, and a tiny bit moist at the drainage holes of the pot. I was wary of watering to runoff so early so I just added around 100ml over the topsoil. Is this fine? In my mind I was going to wait until its second set of leaves get more developed and then begin watering to runoff but I'm just wondering if it's okay to just start with it now. It'd be a lot less headache and guesswork.

I think you'll need to rethink.

2ltr pots are very small and with autos I'd expect many problems in the future due to size of pot.

Hardly worth the trouble

i have never watered to runoff in soil especially that young of a plant you will drown it just keep the soil moist to dry and keep the light as close as you can and let the little girl grow

So at this point I wouldn’t water till run off just yet give it about another week to make sure your roots can handle a little more water. Really it’s up to you try it now see how things go.

Reason I've gone with the 2L is that I've seen lots of 1L - 2L mini grows with autos that have turned out fine, obviously stunted but I'm forcing that issue because of space.

dont over think it or start adding crap to the soil right away just 18 hours or more of good light maybe get a kitchen scale and weigh the pot dry then add water and weigh again that takes the guess work out

I suppose I can leave it until it looks like it really needs a decent watering and then just go for close to runoff? I'm just struggling to gauge how much water is enough - the 100ml seemed to moisten the topsoil but that was about it.

2L IMO is way to small, 3 gallon I'm going with next time, found 1 gallon too little and 5 gallon a bit much. Even if you are wanting for it to be micro I still would not go that low.

Thanks for all your concerns about the size but I'm sticking to my guns on this one. I'll go bigger next but I've been inspired by all the 2L bottle / 1L pot grows. Half z appears to be to sky for grows like this and that's fine with me. This is more of a fun project than something to yield huge amounts.

Nothing like someone who loves to make growing harder on themselves. Good luck.

What light do you have?

You expect 14g of nice dry bud per plant like you've seen others do.?

Tent or cupboard or?

No not at all. Makeshift tent, and it's a 300W (100W) LED panel. Whatever I get is whatever I get as far as I'm concerned. For me, this is more of a project and learning experience as I've said. I won't be distraught if I lose it, it was all good fun along the way.

I love when people ask for advice then completely dismiss it from people who have been there and done that. But hey. What do we know?

When you run do you run uphill? Just because?

Not saying it won’t work but why make it harder?
I guess my tone came off wrong. I'm not dismissing anyone and fully understand the concerns, but I've made my decision with this one and it's just a fun little learning project for me to see what pops out. Cheers all for the input.

Calm down, just asking.

You seem to have everything lined up and know expectations so go ahead.

You'll just find you've wasted your time after 3 months or so and problem solving for fuck all during that time.

Some simply refuse to take advice despite being twart with future problems.

Good luck.
