What’s your Best/favorite yielding exotic strain?

Personally, I think your search for that "Exotic" perfect strain is going too be very elusive.
Just go with a good seed company (Humboldt/Bomb/Barney's Farm) that are fresh & produce.
It takes 3 months at least to produce a crop, so why fuck around?
Just buy good seeds from a reputable company & all will be good :)
I do like Barneys form. I got Muffin Runtz, Mimosa, Do SI Dos 33, Purple Punch from them. As well i purchased project 4516 bx1 from Grandiflora. And recently purchased Buckin Runtz and got Runtz S1 as a freebie from exotics genetics. I popped all the seeds and am hunting for the perfect pheno type. in few months ill know if anything worth keeping and will update here soon as well.
the prices of the seeds and hunting time is not the issue. I just need that gassy high yielding exotic.
Thanks

Wow! greatly appreciated! I will look in to these seeds. Except i would assume that GG4xbubba kush and grape OG x Chocolate diesel wont be dark purple dense exotics? I might be wrong.
Have you personally grew the others you suggested? how did they yield?
Thanks
What’s your definition of Exotic? Rare?

People throw the word exotic around too much. Generally an “exotic” strain is more so a clone only pheno that someone hunted and then only shared with a selective few, making it rare and/or exotic.

I think with any good breeder that has solid genetics you have the potential to find an “exotic” pheno if you hunt. Something that has high yield, high potency with good flavor and bag appeal.

Something like Capulators MAC would suit your needs.

The problem is you mention you want purple but not fruity. Getting a purple without any fruity/berry terps is going to be extremely hard.

Did not grow it personally I would if i Could it smoked great and had a very sweet smell but it will leave you couch napping Do you have any suggestions for Nutrients for Indoor Growing i have Mendo Grow and Hawaiian Buds Bloom i have 2 Plants both called Holy Grail Currently sprouting as we speak but i need advice on how to give them the most nutrients and protection I do have Calcium and Magnesium as a Potency Growth
got it!
I guess its really up to your personal likings. There are plenty of ways to skin the cow. and almost every grower uses different labels. NPK and the base usually will get you there. Of course the Temperature, Humidity, Co2, medium, filtered water and the rest has to be on point.
I personally use house and garden line. I'm just used to it. Although people say its expensive and use salts. Its really personal preference in my opinion

Nice colors indeed. if you can find out how was the yield and who is the breeder and where to get it would be nice. If its dense and smells musky piney gassy. not sweet ))
Peace
Will do.. In the past we have grown mainly from Swami seeds or offspring of their strains so its likely their strain..

You do know what you are talking about :)) I was looking in to MAC1 by Cap on Neptunes auction. It got sold for $1800 i believe. If it meets my requirements ill get it. I saw on Youtube someone had it tested at 39% THC. crazy!))

I do agree with you that exotics are now lost its meaning. In LA exotics are pretty much everything by cookies and Runtz for example.
Im looking for something thats:
Dark Purple bud
Orange hairs
Dense
Musty, Gassy, Piney aroma (some fruity aromas is OK ) ( Gelato?)
Hybrid Indica dominant 70% +
high in THC low in CBD
great bag appeal
Yields in the right environment 3+/l
Appreciate your help!

I also support the 2nd Amendment (too a degree) & respect the Constitution, but choosing that piece of shit Soviet weapon as a avatar doesn't impress me, it just reminds me of all the Americans killed by it.
Use an American weapon next time

For the flavor/terp profile you are looking for you want something with some Chem/OG/Diesel in it.

Useful seeds crosses with the Chocolate Diesel male are great yielders.

Greenpoint has tons of Chem/Cookie/OG crosses with his Stardawg male. I’ve grown lots of Greenpoint crosses and the Stardawg tends to lets the female shine through while boosting yield/resin.

Cannarado also has tons of Cookie/OG crosses and probably has the more modern exotic pungent terps you are looking for.

Exotic strains? Definitely not the polyhybrids everyone is posting. I see nothing exotic about those. Exotic would be something like a landrace indica from Pakistan Valley, a landrace African sativa, a Highland Thai, a South American sativa, Vietnamese, etc... Something few are growing. I see nothing exotic about these pollen chucks with a lineage that contains everything but the kitchen sink. Crosses of crosses made with more crosses crossed with another cross that's a cross of a few other crosses. There is nothing exotic about that. But whatever.

"Exotic" beans are usually really stable polyhybrids (like you mentioned) usually featuring mainstream strains and mainstream social media breeders with a high probability of getting a "exotic" pheno solely based on genetics...

The trend setters are the producers of "exotics" although it's just premium weed.

At least that's my understanding of the term exotic. But I do agree that landrace strains are more special and truly exotic !

Totally agree. Landrace sativas are the most "exotic" strains in the current culture that promotes hybrid cannabis as the standard. I find it sad how few people have experienced good landrace cannabis, let alone even a pure sativa.

There are lots of good seed banks and even shops in the area sell lots of seeds and even cuts from like PCG and Dark heart nursery. Id like to know if you know any exotics that would yield decent 3+lb and that are musky and gassy indica dominant hybrid. Not fruitty.
Thanks
I live in LA, was just about to recommend those 2. Also I think Buds n Roses has a bunch of stuff from Compound Genetics as well. I know they have had at least one MAC collaboration. Personally while I love the looks and taste of MAC and some of the crosses (especially the ones w hints of vanilla), I dont think its that strong.

if you weren't as focused on yield I would suggest just getting a 100 pack or 2 from BOG of SourBubble or one of its crosses. Price is right you could do a proper pheno hunt til you find what you are looking for. SB definitely has the power, just not quite the yield of GG4. one of the crosses might get you what you are looking for though.

Hey there bud.
Buds and roses don’t even know what they sell unfortunately. I went there once and they didn’t know anything about genetics, breeders yield etc about their strains. They just out there to sell and make a quick buck.
Green thumb seems fair with pricing and has a good selection. However, same thing. They do no know anything about what they sell )

At this point the Mac seems to be the option if I can find it. Neptune’s net has 10 regular seeds right now for about $900 current bid. Hopefully I can get it.

“Exotic” is the word in the street for what I have described. You just telling us what it should be, but it’s not. Even though “exotic” should be something like la ferarri, Lamborghini aventador :) It’s not though. It’s more like new Lexus that wants to be a Ferarri. People on the street call exotic gelato mixes that look pretty. I personally don’t care who’s right. I smoke OGs, TK old school that has history. However, the market dictates what you should grow unfortunately. The HYPE is real. People want their Runtz and gelatos and other bs crosses. You can’t push them down their throats what you think they should smoke. It’s their money and they call it how they want it.

True

Customers but what they want, sometimes what u tell them too, but if they don't like that, then they may not come back
Second that. However, I just wanted to see if anyone grew any type of gelato, Runtz, sunset sherbet, thin mint GSC phenos crosses that were yielding 3+ and had more gas smell then fruity and were purple/pink with orange hair )). That can point me to the right breeder and bank where to get it. That’s all! :)
No judgments or explaining me what’s an exotic and how I should go about it. Lots of judgy professors here I see :))))

1. Something few are growing, but has high market appeal.

IMHO - swing for the fences. Get EXOTIC.
"Exotic" implies rarity, most likely an extreme difficulty or extremely low / limited production or vintage.
Something private / reserved - a clone developed by, and handed to you by, Dr. Robb, Bruce Bugbee or Ed Rosenthal - someone like that.
- a bow and personal note around the stalk of the clones would be a nice touch. ;)
Extremely unique flavor, scent and appearance - Velvet Purps or similar (to stay in the purple theme).
That would be exotic.

Please post a journal, I'd love to see something like that in flower! :bigjoint:
