Let’s see those early veg pics

New to growing, just looking for some early on growth pics so I can compare how mine are doing. Preferably 1 month after cut off the plant clones, but all are welcome . 1000sq ft room. I’m currently vegging under a 1000watt hps kept about 4’ away from the girls. Running an ebb and flow in 4” rockwool set in hydroton. Using advance nutrients ph perfect coco grow a + b with voodoo juice and b-52. Tds in my res starts at 380 but seems to rise after every flood gradually getting to 500 by the end of the week. I closely monitor ph and keep it between 5.8-6.2. Res Temps from 60-65°. Room temp is steady at 75° with a fan taking in outside air controlled by a thermostat. 30-50% rh usually. I feel like growth is slow and not as bushy as other pics I’m finding on here.

Ive done HPS from start to finish before, it works fine. As far as bushey-ness goes, first off, those are stretching. It can be genetic but also a symptom of them needing more light. id say 4' is too far for the really lanky ones. Id FIM/top those and follow up with some LST a week to 10 days after that. If youre not familiar with those terms, google or the search function here will yield guides and threads on the subject, a youtube search might also be worth a few minutes. Ive never done hydro so i cant speak to any of that stuff though

I guess,mine i have two bulbs.I know some units can only run hps.But ya you got a lot of stretch there.

Hps will work for veg, if its at proper distance. Yours is too far.

I would def lower light, they are not getting enough ;)

The advice is much appreciated, I’ll lower the light . I was concerned about too much light with it being 1000 watt. I do have two hanging but wasn’t planning on turning on the second until I start flowering, maybe running both and getting two MH bulbs might speed things up a bit? And I did just top 5 of em 3 days ago and was waiting to see how it went to do the rest.

Get a cheap MH bulb and hang it ~30” to tighten up those internodes or you are going to have some seriously lanky plants.

No problem. Let them grow until they are around 24” away from the light or if you see signs of heat stress. I used to veg with MH but now I use LED which gives you very tight internodes.
