Can’t keep tent cool 6x600w hp

Hey guys struggling to keep temps down on my tent 2.5x3.5m 10” extraction 8”intake 6x600w hps lights, temps going above 30 could really do with some advice

Take out some lights.

If removing excess lighting isn't an option.. a nice AC should do with it blowing directly into the intake.

I did have ac hooked up but it actually runs cooler sucking in the cold air then it did from the ac

How much spread do you get per bulb? Are they in reflector/air cooled tubes?

They are just in standard reflectors

I think an investment must be made, unless you remove lights.

Investment where ? Just did on the intake fan... would 4x600w hps lights be enough ?

Do some math. Look up how many Wattz per sq meter and figure out what you have.

Lights do a 6x6 area so 1.83m x4 7.32 m2 but tent is 8.75 m2

Get rid of 2 , just turn them down if dimable ballasts or if not just turn 2 off , ya can always turn back on if need be .

They are dimmable I was debating if to turn them all down to 400w and leave 6 in or turn 2 off leave 4 at 600 temp definitely will go down at 400w but which is the best option

How cold is the air you are intaking?

Are you running SE 600w or DE?

I would dim the 2 middle 1's as you still get the coverage from eighther end . That's what I would do but others may choose differently

Buy air cooled hoods. Have a in-line fan just on the hoods pulling outside air threw. Then use the fan you have to exhaust the room air to control temps.

+1 for air cooled hoods they do alot for reducing heat
