Hi I’m a fairly new grower with this being my 3rd indoor grow, my first 2 were with cfls, all purpose 4-3-1 liquid fertilizer used at half the recommended dose. Nothing was ever ph’d the water nor the soil, had no ventilation just a fan and things went flawlessly. Nowwww I was give. A giixer 1000w (110 true watts) grow light and a Vivosum exhaust fan and carbon filter. I built a grow box myself and have done everything a little more advanced this go round and am having sever issues. My business partner started the 2 plant grow under cfls in complete organic soil with perlite from Lowe’s about a month ago from seed. they ran about 2 weeks being sprayed with just tap water from his tap until the top inch or two of soil was moist. I picked them up from him after the two weeks and threw them in my grow box under the Led at about 18 inches away from the canopy I noticed when he gave it to me the first set of leaves the plant grows, (the single point leaves) were normal green but the next node up, (the 3 point leaves) and the next node above that (5 point leaves) were unusually dark green but not bad. And the petioles on the 3 and 5 point leafs were a reddish purple..I was watering with straight tap water no nutrients or nothing and had them in 2 liter pots. same water that I have always watered with and everything for about a week and a half. I was not ph the water because I haven’t invested in the equipment to do so. until roots became root bound then I transplanted into 5 gallon buckets, I have holes drilled all up and down the sides and the bottom of the buckets for oxygen and drainage. I started watering about 3 days ago when I transplanted with the 4-3-1 nutrient solution at half the recommended dosage. During this time my leafs have started to taco upwards and kind of crinkle around the margins and the whole plant has a noticeable slight wilt to it and I noticed a few decaying looking kinda slight spots on a few leaves that you could barely see with the naked eye. it looked like a crater in the leaf at first then turned into a rusty orange kind of spot. I thought maybe transplanting and adding nutrients would help so I started to naturally worry about my water and soils ph so I went to buy a digital meter and Lowe’s was out and so was the nearest Walmart so I had to buy ph strips that test the chlorine content, ph, and alkalinity (ppm) of the water and complete water analysis test. It tested for all of those things along with nitrites nitrates iron and copper. I have no nitrites and nitrates in my water according to the test and I have low levels of copper (0.5) and low-moderate levels of iron in the water (0.5-1) not sure if those numbers represent ppm roe what it was just numbers with a color coded diagram to follow. My regular tap water was highly alkaline eating somewhere around 9.. with my 4-3-1 solution my ph is between 6-6.8 ...so I’ve been watering with that now like I said at half strength. My issue is now my leaves are becoming necrotic on the folded up margins and have taken on a light green yellowish hue with the very tips being an orange rusty color. Some leaf tips are turned down from the wilt and some tips are turning straight up towards the light... I suspect something with calcium or magnesium. But the dark green tells me potassium or phosphorous issues so I can’t figure it out at all someone please help I’ll post pics of the plants progression in last 2 weeks
