Security camera install... Can I keep it plugged in to an outside plug all the time??

Replace what's there with something that's GFCI protected with an in-use cover. (The plastic ones that have a hole at the bottom) having said that, I have no issues running my pool pump outdoors with an older style cover.

Sorry guys I did it yesterday and got a really bad shock that basically almost knocked me on my ass... I called the ambulance and I went to the hospital just for a check up and they did a few tests (came back ok) and put me on a steroid... That was a close one!!!

You did what yesterday? We suggested you install a water proof box over your outlet that gave 0 chance of hurting yourself. What exactly did you do that required a trip to the hospital? Seriously, enquiry minds want to know?
