Im not new to gardening but I am new to growing mj, anywho just wondering what you guys thought of my first door grow, started a but late in the season. Ive been told buds are supposed to swell up some size, just worried mine arent really filling out, any general advice is welcomed, thank you in advanced! soil was amended with castings fresh compost perlite as well as a buds and roses mix, always ph'd to neutral zone, added earth worms to the rhizosphere. Compost teas every so often as well as some LAB into my waterings.

Part of your problem is the late start. They look healthy though. Not every plant will produce a ton. Some of those may fatten up a bit more still too.

I'm at 35 degN and usually get the outdoor plants going in late April/early May.
Most of the plants I've grown outside will flower around the beginning of August and finish around this time of year.
I usually yield around 12-18 oz of dried flower/plant.
Training is your friend in regards to yield.

you can plant out as early as the last frost and grow a big plant or you can plant later and get smaller plants. sometimes you dont want a monster plant, sometimes you want a managable plant

but do chose your strain carefully, as some plants re bread to grow outside and some inside, the correctstrain can be very important, nothing worse then loosing out to mould at the last possible hurdle

Tell me about it.
Because you're at the mercy of the weather. finding a strain that will thrive in your local environmental conditions can be critical.
Nothing worse than watching some chunky donky-d!cks get bud rot...
