5x9 tent in the basement, cold climate here in MichiganThis is a vague question. What size grow room? Basement or upstairs? Warm moderate or cold climate? Running a grow like this in southern california is going to be much much different than northern washington. Personally I dont think you need a controller for a small grow like that. Window unit AC. Electric heater. Dehumidifier set to whatever you want it set to. All these little appliances have their own built in controller units that work just fine. And for the tent, run exhaust fans at constant speeds (A tent like that I would want to be moving at least 600cfm at all times but ideally more and that accounting for the CFM loss from filters and shit)
Yeah so you will need heat more than anything most of the year. What are your "lights off" temps in the basement? Ideally you dont want to go under 62-63. I would have set up two 5x5's and ran them at the opposite time of each other so that they keep the basement warm all day. But with your setup you will mostly be looking for a way to keep night time temps up. Any standard 50-70 pint dehumidifier should take care of all the humidity. In the summer you shouldnt need more than a window/portable ac unit.5x9 tent in the basement, cold climate here in Michigan
Run them lights at night to help with the colder temps and the heat from the lights if it applies. I agree you may need supplemental heat.Yeah so you will need heat more than anything most of the year. What are your "lights off" temps in the basement? Ideally you dont want to go under 62-63. Indeed, @JoeBlow5823 is on point here. With LED lighting we need to get those daytime temps up into the mid 80's. We don't have a shit load of infrared like HPS or sunlight so we have to make up for that by warming the air. Failure to warm the leaf surface temperatures up will cause slow growth and reduced yields.Yeah so you will need heat more than anything most of the year.
Lucky now temps stay around 63 night timeYeah so you will need heat more than anything most of the year. What are your "lights off" temps in the basement? Ideally you dont want to go under 62-63.
