Air at the roots - as in lifting the pots from the floor?
LOL --- When we first moved into this place, there was still a ton of stuff from the old tenants.
Some of it we still have, and the stoner-engineer in me finds uses for them --- like the pack of curlers I re-discovered next to my extension cord during my last grow. They elevate the plants in a color coded sizes from the base of their saucers.
I did it to prevent root rot (not sure if that's even correct) - it made a noticeable difference in ease of watering and the plants just seemed to like it. Think it would look weird for a very short haired man to pick up a few packs of curlers at the beauty supply?
80-85f is no problem - I actually run my intake from the window to cool it down a bit - usually high 70's low 80's. Shold be eaiser to regulate as "winter" sets in. (We have no winter here)
The Burple - Viparspectra VA-1200 dimmable.
Powered on the bloom dimmer: ( 4) 730nm diodes , Far Red 620-630nm & Red 640-660nm.
Bloom side also has 3000k & 3,500K white diodes.
Veg Side has 440-470nm & 6500 & 7500K diodes. --- interesting that they feel there's less need to spread the blue spectrum that much
Giving a range like that on the doesn't speak too well for the CRI - lol
I don't think it's a great light, but I do think it's among the better burples. And I have admit that my largest, densest, frostiest buds were under this light (in a mess of blurples & 1 bar)! Hopefully I won't be on a Covid budget much longer...
I like a couple of their PAR series too - 12 bands and more spectral control on a few models.
But covering them in fans like that makes me wonder how hard they drive those boards - I used to build mobile video trucks and I know why I would opt for that many fans. That will definitely impact fixture lifespan.
Wow - guess the bubble hash is stonier than I thought - that's a LONG post!
edit --- the light appears much more "blurple" on camera than in person. Re: 730nm is on the fringe of a lot of camera sensors - it imparts a stronger blurple effect.
