Drying in a shipping container

Hey everyone, a friend of mine suggested I come here for some input.

I finally finished trimming my first harvest, got 6.4kg wet bud between 7 plants. As you can see in the pics I have them in drying racks. It's been 12 days since I started and the first batch is drying but it's going slow. The container stays sealed unless I'm in there trimming, which I finished last night. There is a small hole in the roof at the back so some water does get in when it rains. The humidity goes up and down during the day, when the sun is highest it's around 65%, tonight at 7pm it was 81%. Temps have been dropping, 15-20C highs and low single digits in the evenings.

Really trying to avoid mold, can't get power out to the container. Do I need to keep the door cracked and setup a fan? I can get some usb powered ones off of amazon if need be.

Any insight would be appreciated.

You need good air circulation for drying or mold will be a problem. Somewhere for air to enter and escape on opposite ends will help exchange air frequently. Even having fans will just move around stagnant moist air. Also your better off hanging branches upside down as opposed to those racks. Good luck.

You are at the mercy of the ambient humidity. You can hold off the mold with fans, but you risk a bacterial rot inside the buds. They get mushy and brown. It smells just like spoiled food from the refrigerator. Nasty. I used to dry in a shed not unlike your shipping container. Huge losses of weed to rot. Never even noticed because you can't see it inside the buds and was not looking for it. They turn brown and mushy. I live in a coastal humid climate and it's almost always cloudy, cold, damp and/or rainy at harvest time. The only hope was to quickly dry when the weather broke for a few days. I wish you well, man. Keep a close eye on your buds.

This right here, Amazon has cheap ones that work great, they can be outside all season in the sun no uv issues, Ive buried them in the ground with no other casing either, I think 300 feet would run you like 75-100 bucks at most. amazon link

Also, check out @doublejj 's runs.... He dries in shipping containers, but has them set up in shade so that the sun beating down mid day doesnt raise the RH too much(I think thats why at least), Hes got cattle fencing zigzagged and hangs plants off that. Il see if I can get you a pic but check out his past posts for sure and not just advice on this but everything...
