This is my White Widow plant 10 weeks since 12/12 light flip. All hairs are brown. Waiting on pistols to recede and calyx to swell now. My problem is it seems my bud leave are dying and all fans have turned yellow now. I also found a small aphid problem yesterday. Is this normal?

It happens...close to harvest you want the plant to fade out n turn yellow...research "the fade, cannabis harvest"...some of my plants at harvest look close to dead...its just using up the nutrients stored in the leaves which is what you want towards the end

That middle bud there turning dark and the weird purple on the leaves is getting more noticable. That’s normal? Sorry this is my first and only grow and getting anxious

The purple is normal...it comes with "the fade" I spoke of above on some plants...cool temps and or genetics can cause this...i like it when they fade to purple, black, or fall colors...they look a little rough but not much you can do at this point except ride it out thru harvest... not bad for your 1st grow...you'll get ur feeding schedule more dialed in as you grow more plants...the crispy leaves is a concern but hard to diagnose exactly what's caused that...I wouldn't sweat it too much n just hit em with straight water thru the finish

No it's not normal. That plant does not look good at all. What have you been feeding it?
Fox farm trio. I fed half the recommended doses for veg and burned the plant and ultimately dropped to half a teaspoon of tiger bloom all the way through flower. This being my first plant ever I flushed WAY too early for about a week. (While I still had white pistils). So I started using notes again about 2 weeks ago still at half a teaspoon. This plant is unhealthy I feel like. I just don’t have the green thumb lol no more plants for me I’ll stick to buying lol

Don't give up. You have to be careful with that Fox Farm trio. You're just another one of many that have had issues overfeeding their plants using that product. I've seen their feed chart and their week 2 veg EC is higher than I ever go including all through flower. They have you overfeeding which is why they say to flush every 2 weeks with another one of their products.

Also should I try to handle my small problem with the aphids? They aren’t bad at all but I know they can breed fast. I say I have about two weeks left before harvest. What should I do?

By all means do what you can to get rid of the aphids.

If it it’s bud rot starting what should I do? And what could have caused it?
High humidity not enough airflow temps dropping when lights going off raising humidity at night because your dehum can’t pull the water out of the air. If it’s bud rot all u can do is toss.

Yep it was bud rot. Got home today and all the leaves were dried up and hard. Even the sugar leaves. I chunked the whole plant. Selling my setup tomorrow lol. I’ll stick to buying

Damn that’s sucks what dehum were u using to keep rh down all u prob need is a better dehum and a heater most likely if u want to grow the whole cycle. Growing is fun and it can be discouraging. I wouldn’t sell your stuff I would personally clean everything and try again. But that’s your call I don’t support getting rid of your equipment.

If it’s bud rot bud leaves don’t dry up and go hard.
They turn brown and mushy and easily pull out of the bud.

I doubt you had bud rot!

you had a serious issue with either NUTRIENT STRENGTH or DEFICIENCIES.

these 2 things usually lead to plants that look like yours did.

nutrient imbalance and rootzone ph issues are the number 1 reason plants look like shit at harvest.

if you feed correctly all the way through paying attention to the plants reaction to feeding then you should end up with only a sight fade on the leaves even if you do flush for 1 week ( personally I don’t flush).

One of the major causes of crispy fried plants with yellow dying leaves at harvest is from overfeeding. In many cases the nutrient strength some companies have you feeding according to their charts are ridiculous. If you follow Fox Farms chart and use all their products they have people feeding as high as 3.3 EC / 2300 ppm. Then flushing every few weeks with another one of their products to remove salt buildup. If they didn't have people overfeeding to begin with there wouldn't be any salt buildups.

Some people use the term 'Fade" and say it's normal for leaves to be dead and dying at harvest. Some yellowing and leaf die off is normal. But the pictures some people post of completely fried plants that look like total crap get accolades from some that say "Nice looking plants". It's become obvious that many newer growers don't know what a healthy plant at harvest should look like.

Feeding correctly with a balanced nutrient is important for healthy plants seed to harvest. Many go into bloom and go to extremes with high P/K and completely cut out the nitrogen. Anyone with a minimal understanding of plant physiology knows that nitrogen is required for all stages of a plants life and is needed for the production of chlorophyll and the process of photosynthesis. Extreme yellow leaves are exactly the opposite of what you want in a healthy plant and maximum flower development.

Couldn’t agree more which is one of the reasons I finished a full grow on here lately documenting things such as max feeding EC of 1.4 lol.

my feeds for coco

0.6-0.8
1.0-1.2
1.2-1.4
Reducing in the last few weeks from 1.2-1.4 down to 0.6-0.8 by the end.

I use a grow formula 2 part base nutrient start to finish.

I feed at about the same strength. I might push it a little higher peak of flower but not by much and that all depends on the strain and how the plants look. I also taper off the feed and finish with about the same EC as you are. I use calcium nitrate and a 4-10-20 blend that contains all the micronutrients, sulfur, and magnesium. Then a little MKP in flower. I never have any nutrient issues. I'm thinking of cutting out the MKP as I don't think I need it.

I’m going to be running some MKP next run (when i actually clean and go again lol) 14g in 100ml dissolved raises EC by 0.1 at 1ml per litre (thanks to @spek9 for working it out)

normally I use BASE A/B with a little extra Mg and Ca during VEG.

Epsom salts for Mg and S During flowering etc and a small amount of PK booster.

going to drop the booster and use MKP instead for a couple of feeds.
