The whole idea of the tubs is there are no holes below the waterline so there can be no leaks. One tub would do that grow for you easy enough without any plumbing to worry about.

I got my own plumbing problems with my pressure tank seeming to be rusting through and leaking in the basement. Not an easy repair but I may have to load up the VISA card to get through this mess. :( Just as I'm about to order the parts needed to install my own RO system too dammit!

Thats exactly what happened. I spun the nut loose. I can't get to it because the roots have grabbed everything and the whole bucket lifts with the pot. I think I did enough root damage already. If I force it out

My pressure tank is miserably rusted too lol. It has not leaked yet but its probably going to explode soon lol.

I need plumbing for a chiller. My tent can get a bit hot and my food can easily cause root rot with higher Temps. I also like an external res so I can deal with everything without opening the tent. Im useing co2 during this later stage of fowering.

dont underestimate the stress tolerance of healthy roots. i have seen plants in mid flower lose a good chunk of their root mass and still survive and yield respectably. it may be worth it to have one iffy plant in exchange for a dry floor and not wasting a bunch of water

It comes in spraypaint, in a can to use with a paintbrush, and as a 4in wide tape. Can be used in wet and dry conditions... its liquid rubber essentially.

the guy on the commercial uses it to fix a leaking boat.. he also installs a screen door into the bottom of his boat, sprays it with the flex seal, and takes it out for a ride lol.

I used it inside/out of my chicken watering system I built, when the fill valve was leaking. Instant fix. Its good stuff

Have you at least determined what part of your setup is leaking? Are you sure you dont have a hairline crack in one of your buckets?

Its the bulkhead. Removing the pipe i twisted and spun the nut inside the bucket loose. Its not a tight seal anymore. My roots are holding onto the pots res so I can't even lift it out to get in there. Lol. I had only an inch of water working on it, it took about 4 hours between emptying the res, changing the pipes (that broke the seal then) watching it leak attempting to fix it several times.. the roots seemed to have grown into the pipe and restricted the flow. Its crazy I know but it did happen. I tried to stick a snake from the res to the bucket but couldn't budge them. Anyway its good because its keeping the water level really low and slowing the leak. Plant is still happy and drinking.

I seem to have disturbed things enough though, I have lots of foam in the res. Its unusual. I think the snake stired some shit up and its whats causing the foamy bubbles, I think its the enzymes trying to break it down.

Anyway, ill keep going as long as I can. Next grow all I have to do is fix the leak. My pipe flushing system is in place and I figured out why only one bucket is closed. When I dump water into the res I do it violently from a big bucket dumping right by one buckets feed. That kept it flushed. Next time I'll dump a bucket at each output every change to keep roots out.

I want to save up for that hydroponic setup I posted above. I think I can force it to fit in my 3x3 lol.

Overall my results are much better than last time. I'll think about that rather than think about the disappointment. Look at these pretty flowers.

Tie a long rag around leaking joint. Tie it quite tight, have the long tails of the rag go into a bucket. The rag will absorb the water and trickle into bucket. Check bucket as necessary to drain it.

Hahaha if that works id be impressed!! I have rags all around the thing I am not sure they will travel up, they don't even travel to the parts of the towel that are dry before pooling around the spots where the water wants to pool and soaks that part of the towel.

The leak is slow enough that it is not bothering me as much, ive come to accept it. I have a few products mentioned here to look for this week, we have a hurricane head straight for us that hits tomorrow. So it would be a couple of days before I go anywhere. I am mostly worried about prolonged power outage now, but i do have a generator. I never ran it with the grow room, it may be too much for it, with the rest of the house plugged in.

Ill sacrifice my fridge and coffee if i have to keep my room running lol. Who needs hot water too... ill unplug that as well. The tank should hold hot water for a few days if I don't run it too much.

I deal with the odd power outage, not longer than 12hrs these days. Used to be 2 or 3 days. I'd run flashlights just to keep up with the light cycle. But I run in soil and hand water. Different scenario I guess.
Good luck with your leak. Sounds like a headache.

Ouch that's a mess my guy. Top with water and go find or order a barbed bulkhead fitting. Amazon has them. In the future, everything under the waterline should use bulkhead fittings. Use a hole saw backwards for perfect cuts.
