CMH is more efficient than HPS and has a bit better spectrum for full cycle. I wouldn’t buy the cheap ones, if you go CMH you definitely want the Philips bulbs like the one I linked.

If you are thinking about getting the SF, just go with Kingbrite from Alibaba. I have some and they are good quality, same diodes and driver but much cheaper than SF.

@Maggs707 There is nothing wrong sticking 600w or 1000w into a wall socket. It’s when people that have no clue about electrical start growing is when shit burns down. A standard household breaker is 15A x 120V = 1800w x 0.80 = 1440w you can run safely.

It’s when you plug in a 1000w HID into a cheap wall timer you have problems. If you use cheap timers you need a relay with trigger cord and you need to pair the right breaker with the amount of electricity you are going to use.

I honestly have no idea about electrical shit just the basics. I want what is best for the price and will not cost me to much each month for electric. Still doing some research and i will decide. Thanks.

I would go with 3 315w CMH or 4 Kingbrite LM301B 3000k 240w LED’s. The kingbrite’s run about $160 shipped each.

Any standard 15A 120V breaker can handle that.

i personally have a 600w hps/mh from vivosun and i am pleased with it. 315W cmh will be more efficient it's more a price thing

Would 2 of those vivosuns do my tent? mabey i will just go with 3 or 4 of the 315w cmh. curious as the the price and difference of electric price per month.

2 630w CMH would probably cover your tent better. 315w CMH is intended for 3x3 and 630w CMH is intended for 4x4.

Either way 1200w of CMH or HPS will cost the same in electricity. Watts are watts regardless of what kind of lighting. The CMH will just put out more usable light for the plant and either have the same or higher yield with higher THC/terpene content.
