Anyone have Spectrum and get a discount?

Our cable bill and internet are bundled with Spectrum. Our bill is getting ridiculous. Any advice on getting it reduced? Im gonna call and speak to retention and threaten to leave if they don't work with me. Ive been an excellent and loyal customer since before they were Spectrum. And Im paying out the nose. A few friends have the same Package and pay a lot less. Any advice?

If you are paying around 200-500 bucks a month I would think you are average paying costumer. You buy the ufc ppv every month and you also have the NFL Ticket football package. Id say you getting away cheap at 500 bucks a month! Quick tip is get rid of those porn channels, no one uses those anymore.
 
I just pay $45 a month to spectrum for internet and use Netflix/amazon prime when I want to watch stuff. I also get free Hulu subscription with my $10 Spotify Plan. Theres also so much free content online you will never miss having cable.
 
damn you guys pay lots for internet. I pay 2€ per month for 100mb net at home :D okay that would be about 20€ if i did not have a deal with the internet company with our apartment complex. 1 terabyte internet would be 35€ i think

On my phone i have 150mb internet. Unlimited data and unlimited calls/sms in my country and plenty of data and calls inside europe in other countries included 29€ normal price, but i got few euro discount. 300mb 5g with unlimited data, calls and texts would be 35€, but is on discount currently. Now thinking about it, i should downgrade my phone contract, as they have upgraded the internet speed so much over time that even the cheapest one is good enough for me.

Then i have apple music 15€ for family.

I tried netflix for a while but there was not enough to watch there to justify keeping it. When they make a new season of stranger things, im sure ill take it for one month again. But usually i just use torrents for movie/series, but i dont watch much.

Call and complain about your bill.

If you're not paying attention to/complaining about the price hikes associated with your account, they're gonna keep doing it.

I had this happen to me with DirecTV, enrolled in auto-bill pay. I took the same approach that you're considering. "I can't afford this, I'll have to cancel my service." They gave me a "loyal customer" discount which resulted in almost a $100 savings each billing cycle (full TV package), which lasted for a year. I had to do it again when the year was up.

You may find that this works for a lot of your regularly occurring bills. We did this with our trash service as well. We watched the bill go up and up and up over a period of years, and as there are only two of us we rarely put the trash out every week . Finally called to see WTF was going on, and got our bill reduced close to half.

They'll fuck you as long as you let them...

Is anyone living in the house above 60 because they have extremely discounted plans that aren’t advertised and can only be signed up for over the phone & physical locations Won’t be able to tell you anything about them.

Search Spectrum Internet Assist, that’s where you can sign up. Online or by phone like I said. Tried to set up for mother and the physical location said I had to call Or setup online that’s cause the router and box you get is slightly different than the one from physical locations.
