Black mold?

Hey y'all, i have a plant that is about 5 weeks into flowering, growing outdoors in soil. I was using jacks bloom formula but ended up using too much so I flushed and am just using organic tomato tone and epson salt. Its had some overwatering issues after the flush but I finally got that under control and now I find a patch of tiny black dots on one of my branches. It has turned part of the stem brown and is killing the leaves just on that branch. There are no other branches affected. Is this black mold or what can i do to treat this? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Best case, You could start with by just giving it plain water And wait to see if it shows a difference in a few days. But worst case you should just chop it off & spray with something like B-52 to reduce its stress, It’s either that or watch it possibly spread.

Looks like a sooty mold problem. I would probably remove the moldy branch, trying not to spread spores, misting it with a hydrogen peroxide solution should help prevent spores spreading.
So I found the same issue on my other plant.. Not cool. I'm gonna try the peroxide solution, I read somewhere to do 1 cup peroxide and 1 cup water and put into soil thrn use 1 cup water and 1 tbsp of peroxide in spray bottle and spray affected area. Does that sound correct. I don't want to do more damage to them, I will be so heartbroken if I can't save them

If you are just using the 3% H2O2 I wouldn't dilute it very much at all. ppl with 30% are cutting it to around 3 or 4%

You might see what others say on the H2O2, it's not something I use personally, too weak and you are just watering the mold lol. I use Physan 20 at 5 ml per gallon when bringing clones in from outside sources, that shit will stop anything lol.

Is that the only thing you spray on clones from other sources? Do you use something for any pests or does that work for everything?

If I have concerns about the possibility of pests I usually pass on the cuts, not worth the hassle. A quarantine and application of Forbid 4f + Tetra San 5 would probably be smart if one were to intake clones and have any concerns with mites. Still, I wouldn't bother even taking in clones if I was worried about that.

And dip instead of spray whenever possible. I never accept cuts with any sort of medium either. Give me raw unrooted branches and I will take it from there. Root them in quarantine under an LED desk lamp.

Nice, I figured you had some kinda system. I wouldn't want to bring contaminated clones in either. I thought there might be some magical nuclear solution that would kill anything we don't want, lol.

Yeah nuclear would be the Forbid / Tetrasan situation for mites. But other pests might require the use of something else too. I suppose one could start building up some concoction that would handle other pests like aphids and all that, but honestly if you are that scared of the source just pass on the clones and take a shower and burn your clothes before you go into your grow lol

Nice. I was just curious, and you have a lot of knowledge to share, lol. The last time I saw a mite on one of my plants I saw him eaten a second later. It was crazy. I was too slow with recording it because it happened so fast. I was like WTF a mite, then like 1/2 second later this little guy came outta no where and devoured him in less than a second. All while I was looking through the 200x USB scope. This was over a year ago, so my predators are doing their job so far.

What about black mold in bathroom? How to clean silicone around bath? I've tried replacing it with "anti-mold silicone" but that shit grows again after couple months.

Lysol? lol I dunno, who am I Bob Vila or Martha Stewart?
I'd say you're closer to Martha Stewart. She's pals with Snoop. I don't see Bob Vila as a pothead, lol.

The only strain I have going now still is clone only Green Crack. Snoop created the name. That's not why I like it, but it's a cool story. I'm actually getting close to harvesting one of them again. I've been growing this strain for over 2 years now.

Sorry for hijacking the thread OP. Thinking about mold is depressing, lol.

It's a lot of people's favorite and it's really forgiving for a rookie grower. It also smells super dank when it's done right. It's not the biggest yielding plant, but I love it. Sunset Sherbert is probably the highest yielding plant I've grown yet. The buds start getting fat super early too. That's another one of my favorites, but it's not quite as easy to grow. It's not hard, it's just not as forgiving as the Green Crack and is way more susceptible to nanners.

The sheer amount of variety makes sure one will never get bored with growing and smoking cannabis! This plant never ceases to surprise me. Whats on your list for future grows? Any rookies (beans) on the bench waiting to get in the game?
