GH trio with coco and perlite

Anyone have success with the Gh trio of micro, grow, and bloom in 70% coco and 30% perlite? If so what was the ratio and PH you used?
Hello, this is what I use. I also add Armor Si and Calimagic to the mix. I use 1/2 to 1/3 what is suggested on the feeding schedule chart and let the PH float between 5.8 and 6.8 with each batch. So for example if I make a batch today I might PH to 6 and than next batch to PH 6.5. Floating up and down between 5.8 and 6.8 seems to work best for nute intake. I also use some Rapidstart for first few weeks.

Been using gh three-part been having pretty good luck with it. Using R.o water. Agsil- 1 gram a gallon, Calimagic- 3-4 ml a gallon I will bump up to 5 if I see a def, Micro- half too 1/4th of usage bloom, Grow- none, bloom- 9ml to the gallon. And I’ll use some Map to increase p around week 5-6 then I won’t use it anymore. The Sil brings my ph in the beginning to around 10-11 then all my other stuff brings it down to 8 maybe a bit higher I leave it to buffer down for a few hours and check where it’s at then I ph it to where I want to feed. I usually feed at 6.4 - 6.5 because my coco likes being a little bit more acidic. Really depends I like my solid soil meter.

Doug have you ever used the nectar before if so what does it do I never have

it will work fine but be careful if you plan to recirculate
these nutrients are designed for hydro, and coco leach a bit of potassium everyday so the npk ratio of your solution can go wrong
in dtw you will be fine

I just use the micro and bloom, Lucas formula in 70/30 coco perlite.

Per gallon-
6 ml micro
9 ml bloom
1-2 ml cal mag
1-2 ml silicon

strength-
25% during seed
50% veg
100% bloom

Every time I’ve mixed with RO water my ph is around 5.7-6.0

Yes, with my first plant I used all 13 products listed on the GH Expert program list. Diamond Nectar is supposed to accelerate nute absorption. Now using all of these products gave me a good auto with 3.5 oz so I was happy for my first plant. Now I am only using the trio with some ArmorSi and CaliMagic along with RapidStart for roots and it seems to work great. I was tired of my nute mixing looking like a university chem experiment. No more of this every time I want to make my ladies food. Chemestry.gif

If you want to learn the correct way to grow in coco.......I suggest going to www.cocoforcannabis.com.
They advocate using the Flora trio and they also have a recommended feeding chart.
CocoForCannabis.jpg

Feed coco daily to substantial run off starting about 3 days after sprout.......with a pH around 6.0.
Never plain water.
Never let it get dry.
If you use tap water you may not need a calmag supplement.........I rarely have to use it.

nice chart!

how would you say the two brands compare in cost and effectiveness? And easy application?
I have used both, but only on a small scale. So cost I'm not really concerned with.

In my limited experience...
GH is easier to mix, and has the most flexibility for being mixed to meet any needed NPK/element recipe.
Jacks is a little more hassle to mix because it's powder and needs to be weighed for smaller operations.

Currently running Jacks and love the PH stability. Could go back to GH in the future.
I need more experience, and still have lots to learn.

thanks alot man. I tried GH trio as well and using megacrop now which is comparable to jacks . I was unsure of the jacks (3rd version?) 1 -part and am getting used to it. The GH trio seemed to be more thought in mixing but quicker to be pH stable. I don't really know though because of my limited experience. Trying MC for the first time this run but have had friends use it and they like it.

The MC 2-part is almost identical to Jacks 321. But I have never used it.

I had to quit MC 1-part. Nice try, but no cigar for dtw or hydro. Maybe soil. But that's just my opinion.

haha. I started going down that path myself, but I've stopped myself after picking up around half of the full product line. I would agree the Trio with Armor, CaliMag, Rapidstart, is all you need and I'd also throw in the Floralious Plus if anything else as it has the same stuff as in Diamond Nectar as well as other useful things. I also started using a res with airstone and just mixing a batch of nutes once a week. So much nicer.
