Flushing: really necessary??

Do you mean reveging a flowered plant?
I've never tried to reveged a flowered plant.. Can it be done successfully???

Personally I'd keep giving it a medium strength feed but that's only a guess, it would be interesting to hear from people that have reveged a flowered plant, there's always a few suckers around the bottom I have thought about trying to revege them but never got around to it.

It can be done. Takes time though. The one time i did it, it took a few months before growth was normal again.
 
Sorry about that I new to this and have not got the language down so you grow your plant all the way to harvest cut the buds and save the plant and go again I've heard on here about a 27 year old and I've been able to get one to grow for 3 but I've never even thought of flushing it took a bongsmilie and ask as always thank you for your time

That's not to bad iirc 5 weeks for a flowering clone to get 100% back into veg mode.
What I found was removing all traces of flower helped by a good bit.

8 plants, flower 4 then revert them back to veg while the other 4 are flowering then repeat ♻ lol... I'm not serious.

Doing your own trials is a great way to decide for yourself what you want to do.

HOwever, make sure you know how to properly grow a healthy plant and how to properly dry and cure plants before you are trying to make big decisions on how plants get effected by tests. Getting a healthy plant to FULL ripeness and then drying it SLOWLY will have a much greater impact on bud quality then flushing ever could hope to.

Don't make a decision based on one trial do a few and make sure you are running comparisons with identical plants. Also don’t try to test multiple theories or products at the same.

If you test any grow theory on different plants it won’t prove anything. Because plants grow differently. So it’s important to use clones in reasonably controlled conditions to get the most accurate results.
 

@WillieP Aha thanks for the advice! Yes there have been a lot of very helpful responses which I am super grateful for. Thanks again everyone (nearly everyone). Do you know if I'll get the same sort of reaction if I post a photo for advice on whether my terpenes are cloudy or transparent?

I believe you mean trichomes, not terpenes.
That's a pretty safe question.
They will want pictures of the whole plant, of the buds and the trichomes.

There is actual scientific proof that flushing is a waste. They did the study. People are mad because you are not able to type....www.google.com....is flushing marijuana useful or not....

Been growing in NorCal for 16 years. Absolutely flush!!! The leaves should yellow at the end with proper flush and your buds will not be affected. Length of flush depends on pot size and growing medium. Typically for any medium, I flush for 5 watering a before harvesting

Absolutely false. Flushing is crucial to the cure. Without proper flush before harvest, the smoke will be very harsh. You want that ash in your joint to be white, not black

Your trolling right? What was false about what I said....they did a study...i didn't do it.

Wedryk and her team discovered that there were no significant differences in terpenes, THC, and mineral content in the different cannabis samples. Most surprisingly, the cannabis taste testers statistically preferred the cannabis that was not flushed.

Bro I’ve been growing in humboldt over 16 years. My weed is top shelf and always sold before it’s even done being trimmed. I know what I’m talking about. Telling people not to flush is horrible advice. You keep growing bullshit mids if that’s your thing, but don’t call bullshit on proven methods from expert growers.
