I’ll go to vets and get the toxic drops next week
. I put them on him last year and watched a tick fall off dead in 5 minutes that was on his butt ! I don’t pet him for a day or two lol.

I can't even get near the dog with the liquid flea and tick stuff, as soon as I crack the lid, she goes running, so have to use the chewablesI’ll go to vets and get the toxic drops next week

Have done this in river and it works well. I also like to use auto reel with bleach bottles when unable to string from shore to shore. I am fishing at this spot all week.

Ah so there is a fishing thread, i love fishing even more than growing, the uk has quite a limited species compared to across the pond.
Salmon and sea trout are my favourite types of fishing, salmon fishing takes me to some beautiful places and a fresh salmon can be amazing sport.
Sea trout is a night time venture, i absolutely love fishing through the night and seeing the sun coming up, sea trout are also hard fighting fish with savage takes... Awesome!
Brown trout keep me occupied when I there's no salmon or sea trout fishing to be done either through time or lack of fish, during the hot spells in the summer and during the winter I fish for stocked rainbow trout and pike.
All in I'm quite successful, i don't subscribe to its about getting out for me it's about catching fish whatever the target species, however each to there own that's just me.

It was a poor day...
1st salmon landed this year, I'd fished and fished lost 4 over the space of 10 days I eventually landed this one 4/5 days later again.
Talk about keen I was at the river for 16hrs, conditions were perfect I thought I just needed perseverance but it just didn't happen I've spent a lot 6/8/10 hours this year and it's been my worst season since getting into fishing again.
All the hours of perseverance eventually paid off, not a big fish but with light tackle it's takes some beating, near 10 minutes to get it to the net.

Crazy adrenaline rush catching them on a kayak i almost got bit on my leg by one of them it snapped the line and fell off my lip holder landing right between my damn legs lol

I love going out fishing in my Super Chicken, hook into a Muskie and just hold on. Not a kayak but still a blast.

A few of my more precious fish, the 3 taken in the water are from a stream where the bigger fish are clever and very rare.
This one imo has all the beauty, it's an absolute cracker! I'm well proud of it.
Below from the Spey the heaviest wild brown trout I've ever caught 5lb 8oz
This is also from the small stream, it's a bigger fish I'm proud of that one to but it's not got the stunning looks of the one at the top.

I only started fishing again in later life I regret that now, I'd whole heartedly recommend trying it.
I fished when I was a kid but then I started favouring women, socialising etc etc and fishing was forgotten about until 25/30 years later.
I caught a 15-20lbs Halibut surf fishing off the Jetty in Huntington Beach CA.... I fished all day and skunked... my last cast....BAM!!!!! My secret bait Ghost Shrimp was looking like a complete bust.... next time Im gonna bring my jig pole...Catch some live Smelt....hook them up live...good lord....High tide at that Jetty with live smelt...non-stop action... Fishing Gear can get addicting like collecting Seeds
