Houston, I have a problem...

I've been growing totally outside all summer and they started to flower a couple of weeks ago. I have never grown outside so I didn't think about this problem til now. My plants' branches aren't supported by any netting and a couple of the plants will need assistance in a couple of weeks (estimate). Also, I move the plants twice a day for sun and blackout nights. They're already getting a little difficult to move around (I'm a short little female). Actually, I have two problems. One is netting or support for the two big ones; and 2, being able to move them around later on. No, there's no room for them inside now that they got too big for a grow tent and no available bedrooms left in the house. My question is 'how would I support a plant and still be able to move it?' Impossible? Probably. Suggestions?

Bamboo sticks are good for supporting heavy stems. And maybe putting the pots on something that can roll would make relocation a bit easier. I’m strictly indoor and fortunately don’t have that problem. Not sure what other options you have, sorry.

Hello, so to move them you could try something like this. As for support, you could put together some kind of support around it with plastic tubing or snow fence, something light and strong.

Oh, wow, ok. Are the green stakes the metal stakes? Will the green bamboo sticks work or are they too breakable? Only thing is my plant is already established where I can't manipulate the container. I did, however, drill holes in the rim of one planter to LST, but I flopped and it's growing weird, but Imma have about 14 colas on it anyway and gonna need support. Let me get some photos.

Yeah, I’m right there with you guy. Every day I have to get my plant out from it’s little shed and then I have to move it around to follow the sun a couple of times before putting it back in its little shed at night and yes it gets pretty heavy.

I used some leftover strips of plywood about 12" X 8' that I use as a sort of "skid road" from the patio where my plants spend the night out to the backyard- I also made a handle out of an old broomstick with a piece of wire that wraps around the pot and hooks onto a nail in the broomstick for hauling the pots around without having to stoop

Yes, they are Miracle-Gro brand

If they were small enough to fit through the holes, they'd be pretty flimsy

Also, the metal stakes have lasted me 3 years and don't get moldy like bamboo can

I grow bamboo in 2 large planter boxes I built, so I have plenty of bamboo

I feel your pain! Months and months of moving my girl around the garden or bringing her in on a night time, it absolutely killed me in!! 3 weeks ago she could hardly fit through the door anymore so had enough and Brought a 600w hps for her, she was getting way to heavy to move about. she has been under that for 3 weeks now and it's been the biggest relief ever I'm in the same boat feel like I need bambo steaks to hold her up better thought I'd add a few pics theres 1 from when she was outside
