Cant belive i havnt thought of this i run cool tubes i my room thisll help keep em clean nice ideaSure is haha. Keeps the bulbs and glass clean. Like once a month wipe down thats it.
If you have to just ghetto rig anything that filters particulates from your glass and bulbs. Its a must.Cant belive i havnt thought of this i run cool tubes i my room thisll help keep em clean nice idea
I been getting by with just cleaning them inbetween grows but its been on my mind for a while that i should sort it out, reckon it restricts air flow much or nah?If you have to just ghetto rig anything that filters particulates from your glass and bulbs. Its a must.
Lights on 24/0 for probably 10 days or so. Then under the hps on 18/6 for roughly 4-6 weeks before flipyeah, how long you going to let them grow b4 flipping or are you doing a 12/12 from seed? apologies if youve allready mentioned this
Yes it restricts probably 10-20% flow. But everyone should be accounting for that when choosing cfmsI been getting by with just cleaning them inbetween grows but its been on my mind for a while that i should sort it out, reckon it restricts air flow much or nah?
Yeah ill have to upgrade my exhaust fan, its due for an upgrade anyway, i set my exhaust up slightly different to you i have my cool tube open ended to duct to exhaust fan to carbon filter so im actually blowing through the carbon filter instead of sucking through itYes it restricts probably 10-20% flow. The restriction in flow for sure wouldn't outweigh the negatives of having dusty bulbs. Fire risk for one. But also even a miniscule dust layer equates to a 15% decline in yeildYes it restricts probably 10-20% flow. But everyone should be accounting for that when choosing cfms
I see. Very nice. Yeah just incorporate some type of dust preventionYeah ill have to upgrade my exhaust fan, its due for an upgrade anyway, i set my exhaust up slightly different to you i have my cool tube open ended to duct to exhaust fan to carbon filter so im actually blowing through the carbon filter instead of sucking through it
Damn didnt think itd be so much definatly getting onto it thenThe restriction in flow for sure wouldn't outweigh tje negatives of having dusty bulbs. Fire risk for one. But also even a miniscule dust layer equates to a 15% degrees in yeild
Any reason for exhausting with your lights ahead of your fan? I know that adds just a bit more stress to your fan when the hot exhaust is going through your fan.Damn didnt think itd be so much definatly getting onto it then
I should add that I am not running a carbon filter. I'm very remotely locatedAny reason for exhausting with your lights ahead of your fan? I know that adds just a bit more stress to your fan when the hot exhaust is going through your fan.
Just to save space in the grow room and also i have an 8x8 area with 4x 600 hps in cool tubes (and 1 630cmh in middle) so my fan and carbon filter are in my roof then comes out of roof and splits at a y join to 2 cool tubes each, heres a pic to helpAny reason for exhausting with your lights ahead of your fan? Oh I see. Very impressive btw. Also to help reduce noise from the fan

Thanks man! And yeah bro everyone on the led train these days, but thats also what made me notice your grow, you clearly know how to setup a good hps grow! And serious props for rockin the 600's! We are a dying breed lol
I'm not stubborn. I'm up to date on what's going on. I have my eye on some of what Samsung is doing with led tech. But even as of now in 2020 a proper hps set up still takes home cannabis cupsThanks man! Yeah for sure led aint shit thats for sure give it a few more years and itll surpass hps i reckon... but until thenI'm not stubborn. I'm up to date on what's going on. Not to get to far off track here but alot of ppl are not accounting for other grow factors. Okay u can get a 2000 dollar led to match a 200 dollar hps. But what about hps with co2 on point? What about hps fully kitted out with all OTHER factors in place. Ppl run to led without ever maxing the capabilities of hps firstI'm not stubborn. I'm up to date on what's going on. Yeah deffinatly and also service factors if parts on the led breaks youre in for a hard time compared to hps. And id say most people just get put off by the yellow light and see their plants under white light look better but arentNot to get to far off track here but alot of ppl are not accounting for other grow factors.
