New grow / Sativa - K1 (Kalite Tizane)

Hey

I started to grow sativa dominant strain K1 or Kalite Tizane. Unfortunately there isn't much information about this strain. It is my second grow and I do not know how good idea it is to grow sativa. Anyway, I got 5 seeds for free so why not.

Gonna say it's indoor grow. Started to germinate 5 days ago all 5 seeds - two days later I planted 2 seeds. Other 3 are still between paper towels - still no germination. So these two are already in the soil but only one has reached the surface and has been stretching towards light.

First two weeks I plan using my little closet to get past seedling stage (or at least one week)

SETUP

Seedling

  • Grow room - 0,8 x 0,6 x 1
  • Lights - 4 x 45w CFL (4 x 2800lum 5500k), about 8-10cm (4inches) above plant / going 24/0 for a week
  • Growing medium - plastic cup (0,33l) filled with soil/perlite - 60/40. Soil is already fertilized so for seedling and veg stage I really do not need nutes :D (did my first grow with the same soil and it worked just fine)
  • Humidity - around 60%
  • Ph - 6.4
  • Temp - 27C (80F)

After that stage, I plan to transplant into max 1 gallon pot and move to another/final room

Vegetative stage (thinking 2 weeks)
  • Grow Room - 1,7m x 0,8m x 2,55
  • Lights - Starting with CFL-s again 8 x 45w CFL (8 x 2800lum / 5500k) and later on (last week veg or so) I'll add 2 x 15w LED (3 x 1900lum / 2700k)
  • Growing medium - 1 gallon pot, soil/perlite - 60/40
  • Humidity - plan to keep around 55%
  • Ph - 6.5-6.9
  • Temp - around 23C-27C (73F-80F)

Flowering stage (let's say about 10 weeks)
  • Grow Room - 1,7m x 0,8m x 2,55
  • Lights- Starting with (total 22 200lum)
    • 2 x 15w LED 2700k (1900lum each or 3800lum compared)
    • 4 x 45 CFL 5500k (2800lum each or 11200lum compared) / will change after 2 weeks or so - 6 x 11w LED 2700k (1550lum each or 9300lum compared)
    • 4 x15x LED 3000k (1800lum each or 7200lum compared)
  • Growing medium - soil/perlite - 60/40 - IDK if I should transplant to bigger pot right before going into flowering. Anyway thinking to have 3 or 4 gallon pot.
  • Humidity - around 45%
  • Ph - 6.5-6.9
  • Temp - around 23C-27C (73F-80F)
I need to add that night temps and humidity have +/- 6 than daytime.

So I need help with this grow because I understand SATIVA grow is not as the same as INDICA dom.
What do you think about my plan?
When to transplant?
When to switch flower? (I have read that many suggest to switch 12/12 right away and skip veg stage to avoid massive stretching. Well I really do not wanna do this and I plan 4weeks veg stage)
Are my plans to temperature and humidity okay?

I plan to top or fim my plant multiple times. First time when I have like 4 nodes (probably fim - to get 4 new colas) Also a lot of LST.

If u have experience/knowledge growing sativa indoor then your comments are more than welcome.

Later.

Sativa will probably be more 16 weeks. GL.
It's not pure sativa. It's sativa dominant 70/30 - cross between Durban Poison and LA Kush
As much as I have searched - it's average shows 9 weeks flowering time. so I think 10 weeks for flowering is possible.
I'd like to get this done within 15 weeks :D

That is a pure sativa. It's going to take way more than ten weeks to finish flowering. If you go 4 weeks of veg you will definitely want to do some training. I grew a pure sativa recently. I started it outdoors and let it get too big. I had to do some serious supercropping and strapping to get it to fit in my 4 x 4 tent. It's going to be a journey. That plant will become a family member because it's going to be around for 5 or six months. That isn't any easy to grow hybrid you got there. Be careful with feeding because it's going to be sensitive to over fertilization. So don't go dumping the kitchen sink on it. Minimal basic nutrients is all it's going to need. Skip all the additives and bloom boosters.

If you make it to the end with a healthy plant you will be rewarded with some spectacular smoke that is special and rare because few people have the patience or skills to grow a strain like that indoors.

Here's an OTH that ended up flowering for 20 weeks and still could have gone longer before I cut it. As you can see I had to get creative to keep it in check. I'm not growing another plant that takes that long for awhile.

Good luck

K1 (Kalite Tizane) is not a cross of Durban Poison+LA Kush. Where did you get the seeds? Because if they're a cross of what you say then they're just your everyday dime a dozen hybrid.

That's just something they named K1 but it's not K1 (Kalite Tizane). There is nothing in that link that references Kalite Tizane. But both Durban Poison and LA Kush are good strains so the cross should be good as well. You should be very satisfied with it.

Kalite Tizane is a landrace from French Touch Seeds

Gotta say. It's worth its time.

I got 2 plants... First one was ready to harvest at week 14 and second one on week 16.
First was about 52g dry and second about 68g dry.
Im happy with results even tho i did some mistakes.
But the HIGH is really strong - energizing, creative and best for day use.

Later on I had two vents for intake and one for exhaust. Temps regulated to 23c and 18c at night. Ph 6.5. Humidity aroud 42.

Flowering
Weeks 1-3 i had lights 12/12
Weeks 4-5 _ lights 12, 5/11,5
Weeks 5-7 _ lights 13/11
Weeks 7-10 _ lights 14/10

Smell is amazing. And the more curing the better it gets.
RN it feels good.

Nicely done. Sativa's are crazy tough in my experience compared to indicas. My last one I named Side show bob because of it looks. I can't recall how long it was in flower for but 16 to 20 weeks sounds right. My other plants were trimmed and curing away by the time it came down. Current plant I have outdoors is pretty sativa dominant, trying hard not to overdo it with the food. Hoping to get a quality flower from her this go around. You have any pictures of what the finished buds looked like?

I can add pictures later today.

But nutrients, i held back for a while at the beginning. Then I started to see deficiencies. So I used more and more nutrients. This plant grow so big that it still needs more nutrients. I ended up with 2x stronger nutrient solution than i thought. But I only stepped up the nutrients when I spotted deficiency. IMO its easier to spect leaves
