It doesn't seem to me that it would do any good for cannibis because the plants will try to grow up, but it works fine for tomatoes where you have something to hold the plants down.

Your statement defies my logic. If you have the light on the ground facing the ceiling and a pot upside down then the plant will grow toward the light..

As for watering, I don't see this being as big of a problem as keeping your soil in the pot while keeping drainage holes. And I don't see hydro being an option for upside-down growing.

But this is an interesting subject..

Wow, they grow upside down even outside.. now I'm mind fucked, but I guess gravity doesn't have it's pull on things.

This would be crazy. how exactly is the water to be held in an upside down container.. how is root growth stimulated in this way? So many questions! someone has to try this//

yeah couldn't you just make a 1 inch hole in the bottom of any pot, stuff a piece of rockwool in there with a seedling in there, and then fill the bucket with soil? wouldn't that do just about the same thing?

But then the roots would switch directions according to the rules of un-defiable gravity and grow down and out of the pot towards the plant. It all depends on what type of plant being used, if the plant is phototropic it will grow down towards the light beneath it, but if the plant is gravitropic, the plant will turn and grow upwards regardless of light position, and the roots will still grow down and out of the pot.

I've been reading on this, and may just try it as an experiment with one of my tomato plants first. This lady made her own out of a plastic bag.
Very simple and basic, but it seems to work.
You could even use a 2L plastic soda bottle.

Another benefit is that the plant can be placed out of reach from animals.
Peace

my grow is critter free, not even my pet rabbit is allowed in there and this can go everywhere else:D so this wouldn't be a reason to hang my plants:lol:

any further advantages noticed with this so far video?
