you can do whatever you want to your plant, just depends on how long you're willing to wait for them to bounce back and show new growth.
if its an auto i suggest doing nothing other than low stress with minor defoil but on only the complete redundant fan leaves, you should never top autos

I personally don't like topping anymore because it stunts the growth in my opinion for too long.
i just go ham on LST and always have many new tops grow with less down time
here's one of mine where I only did LST to it, literally took big landscape staples and pinned them down

Waoo is well spread but u doing outdoor but I guess it will be effective to indoor but yours look amazing and healthy what is that strain ?

You can defoliate fan leaves but it’s better suited for day 1 and 21 of flower.
If you want more tops you can top your plant (I only do it once and keep that as a clone). You can also just break the stem slightly and bend it to the side. The other branches will grow up and bush the plant out. But, my favorite technique that I’ve been using lately is the one I saw Grandmaster Level use in his garden. He simply calls it the GML topping technique. You just remove the 2 fan leaves at the top most point of the new growth of the plant. The plant responds the same as topping, but it doesn’t take as long for the plant to recover and continue normal growth. It works very well for creating an even canopy if you use netting.

If that was my plant I would take off those biggest fan leaves, especially the ones covering up nodes, then watch her explode.

Just once, I didn't wanna fuck with her too bad.
I have an LSD strain growing right beside her I topped like 6 times as an experiment (last night) so that remains to be seen

this time im trying something different, i toped all of my 4 plants once and lst the faaaaaak out of them and they are bushy af. i took off fan leaves a few time in that time to help get light through and they been bouncing back very well. might depend on the seeds but these seem to not mind it and keep growing. now i just take a few off so it doesnt over lap or tuck them. it takes time to heal so jot doing much ready for them to stretch, cloaning in few weeks. doing growers choice GSC,2 gorilla glue and pineapple Express
