Buds stopped growing

For now, I was just mixing at the recommended percentages, on the container. I test the PH, add the nutes and stir. Then, when the soil is dry, I water with that. I assume it's wrong? lol. So, I will try your advice and see what it says.
Just want to be sure I understand right. You test your pH before mixing the nutes in, is that right?

I would test and adjust pH after you mix your nutes as they will affect the overall pH.

And there’s nothing wrong with making mistakes man! That’s what it’s all about! Let us know how we can help.

Okay, so test AFTER. Got it. The edges of the leaves are turning yellow (As you can see in the pic) Not badly, but it's definitely an issue. I've run plain water through a few times. I'll let it drink that for a while. Should I do plain water at the next watering as well, or back to nute water?

It looks like you still have some time for them to bulk up, don't worry too much about how long she flowers for as long as you do not see signs of reveg. As @Kassiopeija said, it looks a little bit dark in color. What are your feedings looking like right now? That dark color, and the you noticing some slowness of the fattening of the buds may be due to being a little heavier on the Nitrogen in your feedings in comparison to Phosphorous and Potassium. Knowing what you are feeding her right now will help to know if that might be some of what is going on.

Looking good tho for the most part from the pics you have posted!
What do you mean showing signs of reveg? Would that happen even under 12/12 if the bud is left growing too long?

The reason I ask is I was toying with the idea of just letting an experimental plant go as long as possible, assuming that eventually the plant will reach senescence and die on its own.

The idea being that I end up with some super amber-trichome couch-lock sleep-inducing bud. Just to see how that would work, you know, for science.

Perhaps I am missing something as I mostly grow outdoors but I assumed my experimental tent plant would just go into senescence and die. Why would it reveg if stays under 12/12?

Again, if I’m misunderstanding something, I apologize in advance.

No you're not misunderstanding! I don't know why but i assumed this was an autoflower grow (thats what i get for not reading in detail). I was referring to a candy cream auto i had reveg about 2/3 through flower, presumably from too much nitrogen (and the nitrogen fixing bacteria in my medium). It ended up causing tons of larfiness in the buds and a pretty shitty tasting product. That being said, i think weird things can happen and photos can reveg even under 12/12, but that is usually because of light leaks in the tent, or the plants being disturbed during the "night cycle".

Good catch! Thank you for pointing it out!

Your idea seems like it would work, but you might not want to wait too long as the more amber trichs you get the less potent of a product you get. Im sure you can find a happy medium of uber couch lock weed that is still potent by harvesting when you are are 25%-30% amber trichs. I think most people harvest at 15% (roughly). I like my weed a little more heady and euphoric so i pull it with less amber in the trichs.

How much water did you run through her, and did you by chance test the pH and PPM of the runoff from that plain watering? IF so, what were the numbers??

See how she responds to the plain watering. She should continue to fatten up for you if there's enough nutrients in your medium and your pH isn't too out of whack.

PH seemed good? She seems to be doing well.

Here it is, today. Looking through the loupe, the tricomes look clear but have tiny bubbles in them. Do they go cloudy fairly quick or is it a long proccess?

You need Patience ... plant will finish.... when it finishes.

Dance isn’t over once you chop either , proper drying will come into play and there is where a lot of growers screw up all that work by not doing the dry properly. Don’t shit on all that work.

Just keep and eye on them and the pistols. They are still reaching out which is an indication of it still growing. When they stop stretching out and start to recede keep and eye on those trichomes on the buds, not the leaves. You want mostly milky, some amber. How much is a personal preference. Just keep in mind your patience is needed and if used will be rewarded.

I have all the patience in the world. I just have no idea how to tell when she's ready for the next step. I've come this far and would not want to screw anything up. I'm SOOO glad I have you guys to help out! lol.

So...to sum up, wait for the hairs to sort of...curl up. Then start checking the tricomes. Once they have turned cloudy, I cut her down at the base, tuen her upside down and leave it there for at least two weeks. When the branches are able to snap (And not just bend), I clip off the buds and move them into jars with silica gel packs. I leave them in there for another two weeks. Then....I enjoy the fruits of my labour!

Is that all correct or is some of it off? best let me know now so I don't screw things up! lol.

Close. You want the 10 to 20 percent amber trichomes, not cloudy. For curing I use Bovida packs to keep the pot between 58 and 62 RH but I have seen many using silica gel packs. I would think they would absorb too much moisture as opposed to the Bovida packs but I have not practical experience using silica in my storage so I that may be something someone else can chime in on.

Well, they seem to be cloudy. Leaves on the plant seem to be dying off. Lower leaves are dying for sure and upper leaves are yellowing from the outside. Should I be nurturing the plant or is it time to cut her down?

be sure you are scoping the calyxes and not the leaves for the trichomes and view different parts of the plant to figure out when you'd like to cut it down. How many weeks of 12/12 are they at? The calyxes look nice and swollen to me, and you may be getting close to harvest time.

Any ball park estimate on how much longer she needs? I don't want to cut her down too soon, but at the same time, the dying leaves are freaking me out. lol.

Watch the trichomes on the buds, they will tell you when to chop. A week or 2 should do it but sometimes can take a bit longer. You are close.
