This is when I would start flushing the plant as the trichomes are milky ..... it’s great to see they are turning amber, when they are all amber in color then that is the perfect time to harvest ....... keep an eye on them because harvesting too soon or late will affect potency. Here are some photos from today from different bud spots on my plant. I’ve still got white hairs shooting up in some areas so I’m not sure if it’s there yet but I’m seeing amber and lots of cloudy trichs. What do you guys think?

Yeah, yesterday was my last feeding. Once it dries up I’ll be giving it water only. Probably chop it down in a week or two. I’ve read different opinions as to what percentage of amber trichs you should aim for, 30% amber, 60% milky white, 10% clear etc. As far as I know, it depends on the type of high you want and comes down to personal preference on where the “sweet spot” is for you. This is when I would start flushing the plant as the trichomes are milky ..... it’s great to see they are turning amber, when they are all amber in color then that is the perfect time to harvest ....... keep an eye on them because harvesting too soon or late will affect potency.
I’ll try snap some photos tomorrow. My plant ended up with a pretty serious nutrient deficiency a few weeks ago and I lost some fan leaves and some others died from the tip almost to the buds. Since then I’ve fed it regularly and the rich green colour has returned for the most part. All the while the buds continued to put on weight and I have had no signs of hermaphroditismFull plant and bud pics

I use a usb microscope. And use a stand for it so it’s staying still to get pics. What are you using to look at your trichomes? I’ve been using the li gray scopes, and have bought three, each better than the previous one, but I have one HECK of a time getting it to stay focused for longer than a split second. I’ve been pretty much guessing on my trichs for five years now, and it’s frustrating when I see such clear, beautiful photos like these. I know there’s a way I can do that , too
I also use a microscope I got from Amazon. I’ll link the one I use later. I’m in Canada so the link may not work but it’s called “MoKo WiFi USB Digital Microscope“. It links to your smartphone via an app and a wifi connection. The microscope creates its own network that you then connect to in your phones wifi settings. You can take photos And video that save to your camera roll. It has a built in dimmable LED on the end which is nice. What are you using to look at your trichomes?
