Hey brother, get those starts topped and use a wire coat hangar, coat the thing into 6-8" pcs, bend them into a U shape, and top your new babies. When they split, pin down each new growth with one of your hangar "pins"( some people drill holes in the side of their buckets, and use wire, seems like way more work...If you want true SCROG,you want to get those plants down, topped after you 3rd node, then under some sort of SCROG.Even if you criss-cross twine across those plants. But in your case it appears you have a screen already, but it's waaaay to far up.You have to remember, while you want to spread your plant and continue to top, you also want to keep all branches horizontal. That way when you put up your flowering SCROG,which should be 6-8" above the lowest part of your initial topping point, you will have room to weave your outer branches(initial top, then no more then 3x topping 3rd node on each branch created) for true SCROG.) After you get it nice and stretched and filled out defoliate your plants,, then SCROG em, and flip em to flower. Then 3rd week of flower defiate again. Some of my bros just take fans here and there, but remember you want NO foliage under that screen, and plenty of light penetration and airflow between your nodes..Good luck.Oh and bro,you should ALREADY be feeding you plants a regiment of nutes from the beginning.I use Canna. Its kinda spendy, but I'm getting a lb per 3².
Word.
Hope that helps.
