They've hardly fucked up as far as campaign tactics go, but there was just hardly any dirt on Obama, and the country's in shambles from the last pub moron, so people were able to see the bigger picture.

I'd like to know what you would advocate instead? Charity? Donations?

Okay, so how would you have it? We should just go right for only vocational-type schools? And starting when? Kindergarten? Grade one? Two? When would this vocational training, completely bereft of any of the subjects you so detest, begin?
Taxes suck. We all agree on that. But how else are we supposed to do it?

In 1996, Congress passed and President Bill Clinton signed the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity and Reconciliation Act of 1996 (PRWORA), ending welfare as we know it. As far as the people that are poor, I didn't make them that way, it is not my fault they are in the condition they are in. I am not holding them back. At any time they want they can get off their asses and move forward. It is not my fault that they repeat the same mistakes over and over and over again.
With all that said, why do you keep on trying to make me pay for other's stupidity?

The poor are still poor, the rich are still getting richer, and the middle class is still getting screwed, because of the good intentions of incompetents and morons who refuse to acknowledge that they are still failing to find some way to actually accomplish their proposed goals, but they are accomplishing their real goals of enslaving everyone perfectly well.
As far as the roads and highways. They are something that the federal government should not have a hand in. I would pay taxes to a state government more gladly than I would pay taxes to the federal government, which is outside the scope and limits placed upon it by the Constitution and therefore is an illegal entity that should not exist.

The election of Barack Obama to the presidency of the United States should be a source of pride for all the civil rights workers that followed Martin Luther King’s non-violent struggles to gain equality for all people in our country.
This is surely part of “the dream” that Dr. King and many others had that they were willing to give up their lives for.
All of them, all over the nation, can take pride and feel a great satisfaction that their efforts reached partial fruition with the election of Barack Obama as president of our country and be sure in the fact that they brought it about. The only sad fact is that Dr. King did not live to see it.
The struggle is not over yet but is well on the way, and maybe President Obama’s administration will be a beacon to light the way for a total resolution for 400 years of blindness..........

Just to throw some more fuel on the fire.. I am poor. Unemployable for the simple fact that I have a mentally ill child that I can't afford to get help for. I have lost jobs because of having to come pick her up from school and it's taken 2 years of fighting to be able to get any help for her at all. I am well educated, well spoken, and broke as hell. I pay taxes, I contribute to society, but now I am hoping that Obama's policies will lead to better funding for special ed so that I have more options.
What does that mean? Taxes. Bottom line, taxes will always be necessary. Taxes and social programs that can help someone like me overcome obstacles in order to raise successful children. I do agree that more taxes should go to the state, not the federal government, the fed should stay the hell away from states like mine and stop WASTING money enforcing laws we decided we don't agree with.
