Why vote in the US for president?

No it's not.
The person with the most votes doesn’t win

Only a handful of states will determine the election. That’s not odd to you?

In 2012, 100% of the general-election campaign events (and virtually all campaign expenditures) were concentrated in the 12 closely divided "battleground" states

That is a fact. We elect them, then they go to the swamp and special interests buy their favor. There will be no fairness or will of the people till we get money out of all politics.
no, i mean that a bunch of empty lands gets more votes than california and new york combined

we should not give participation awards to land.

abolish senators from small, rural states.

Lol, so disenfranchise 70% of the people? How long do you think you can oppress the place where your food and electricity comes from? We would starve.

I dont know about that... that wold take 100 idiots and make 333 or so idiots. I think the solution is more complex. Maybe abolish the house, keep senate and have the govenors of each state replace the house.
Dude, the only difference in Democracy the last 20 years has been Russian/Corp. influence.

Get rid of that first.

Nah, I think lots of things have changed, some for the better and some not so much. The main thing I've seen change is hate, its always been there, but now its shamelessly on display
