That's awesome to hear you're noticing an increase in density on the buds with co2. Every now and then I'll get some buds from another grower that are just rock hard dense like there's no beginning and end. It's just a solid chunk. I'm thinking that's a grower that supplemented with co2. Let us know the end result. Particularly interesting will be the change in total yield between this harvest and your last if co2 is the only thing you changed. 20% increase or more and you're talking some serious numbers.
I def will post the numbers!.. You can see the last grow results in my signature, and we are growing the same strains from the same cloned mothers, so there's an even playing field. We have all labs and results from the past 2 years. Im kinda excited to see how it comes out myself!

It's a trolmaster brand and I called their tech support and they said it could be done, but not easily.


Thank you, loving Mi so far especially the whole being legal part. My AC is a DIY Mr cool unit 36k btu cooling 6 de 1k lights. It keeps up with the lights, but when I run em at 115% it's just barely keeping up. That's another reason I'm not gonna get a burner right now.

I'm pretty sure I've decided on buying the hydro x controller by trolmaster as I can expand it to control pretty much everything in the room as I get more money, and I can check it from my phone if not at home.
I’m familiar with the hydro x. Kinda affordable connectivity. The sensors look to b reasonably priced, also.

Man I know the feeling. I laid in bed last night contemplating how to solve this leak issue after spending several hours reading about how others dealt with it. Woke up and drove to Lowe's at 7:00 am this morning to pickup some new supplies. Waiting for my nozzles in anticipation. This covid-19 shit has been great for me. Been laid off since the beginning of April working on my garden and house every day from sun up to sun down. If I had kids I think it would be very different :)

I've enjoyed learning how to do a lot of new things. And I've not enjoyed repairing a lot of new things I learned about. Double edged sword it is.

Good god man that's no garden that's a small jungle! :) If a 36k mini is cooling your room nicely with 6k watts of de HPS burning I feel confident a 24k mini will allow me to run co2 in the summer and keep temps under control. That's a high times centerfold production facility you've got going there man. While co2 would be sweet I'm sure you're producing stellar results without it. I hit $552 for last month's electric bill due to a heat wave we had. I feel for you knowing what your bill was. It's all relative to output though. The pendulum swings hard the other way too :)
I got another flower room to set up that's the same size just didn't have the budget to get another AC this summer, waiting another month or so for temps to drop so can air cool that room.

So far my electric bill been averaging around 700 a month. (Seperate meter so just the grow)

I got 2.29 per light without C02 last run, it was hard run all from seed. This time I got a mono crop going and trellis to keep everything even. Should def do better this round but didn't do too bad for first run here, especially with not having my normal cuts for the first round.

I cooled my old room with a 24kbtu mini split, had 4 de 1k in it.

Actually still haven't went and bought it, I want the trolmaster controller but Its a bit expensive so I'm looking around to see what can find and local stores since I need tanks anyways. But I def getting it this week.
It is expensive for what it actually is. At the same time, compared to similar products (with added sensors/modules), it not too bad and does a bit more. There's also A hydro-x pro.
Know about home assistant? Arduino/Raspi have lots of abilities too, but you'd need the skills; I don't have'em yet.

Out of curiosity why don't you install a co2 burner instead of hauling tanks? I'm adding one in 9 weeks after my next harvest. $300-$400 for a nice quality 4-6 burner unit along with a quality PPM controller ($200-300), because I can't imagine hauling tanks back and forth to the store constantly. That's horribly inconvenient, and the cost for a burner isn't much more than the initial cost of buying a co2 tank. Every grower's situation and grow room needs are different, but hauling tanks is not viable for me. Who has time for that? Installing a Tee on your natural gas line is incredibly easy. Run your flexible hose that comes with the co2 burner from the Tee. Add your controller and you're jamming. Hell many units even run on propane if you aren't mechanically inclined and prefer not to monkey with gas line. Super duper easy. I watched a guy hauling a co2 tank one day on one of my rare visits to a local hydro store for an item I could not wait on to be delivered, and he was doing his very best to pretend it wasn't an absolute bitch. You could see the truth allover his face though. I'm too old for that noise man :)

I'm sorta designing a new setup and the btus are a little surprising. A small burner is about 5000-6000 btu, and I can't remember the amount of added water weight/vapor.
24k btu ac needed for a 2k watt LED room? Fuck, that's a lot.

One thing I have noticed that other people speak of is burners adding humidity. I have not noticed this. Mine burns for 4 and a half minutes (8 burner) every hour and a half or so. No significant rise in RH or heat in a 20x30.

You know, after my initial "ohhh fuck, how is this all gonna be managed", I realized they don't stay on. And the better sealed a room, the less it comes on. It is part of the process of burning LP or NG though; creates h2o.
But also, would you dehus just take care of it and you wouldn't notice either way?

Yes, I have 2 , 4000 sq ft dehuyes in there. And the room is very well sealed. If it does put out vapor, it’s obviously quickly taken care of. The heat is diluted pretty quick too. I’ll sit there and watch the Spartan controller as it goes through a cycle, and it don’t vary much at all, and Is quickly stabilized. I’ve been really happy with this set up.

Too bad there aren't more 1 and 2 burner units out there. Or ones where you can plug some of the burners if not needed (I think sentinel had this feature). Can't find shit except Titan and one that @AquaTerra suggested the other day - way more expensive, and probably too big for the area.

In Australia in summer it gets to 40C quite regularly. I grow without climate control under LED and this is how they turn out after a long, hot summer. They get big, but a bit leafy. Buds are usually airier, plants will stretch and flowering times can take longer when it's hot. But as long as you look after the plants they can handle it. I grow all through the year and the plants have different photomophogenic responses from season to season as the temperature and humidity change.

Hey can I ask you a question!? I'm in a bipolar state weather wise. But its typically 90-100⁰F outside. I live in a big log cabin. So it doesnt keep the heat out well. With my LEDs & CFLs it gets to be 87⁰-88⁰ F in my tent. Rh is usually around 40% anyways! I have constant air circulation. So theres always fresh air in there. Can my plants withstand these temps? I understand 87⁰ is just the air temp. Idk. I took my CFLs out because they caused the temp to go from 81-87. Now I'm just running 220W (<--true wattage from wall) LED. And shes doing great. I just want my CFLs back in there. But if the temps are gonna hurt her at 87⁰ then I'm just gonna have to deal without them unless I can find something telling me it's okay lol

18,000 BTU's on the 8 burner... and 140 pints per day on the dehuyes. The DH's are set to come on at 50% RH, and the Evaporator Cooler is hooked up to the Spartan Controller to kick in at 40%. It's kinda cool to watch all this shit come on and off automatically. All I have to do is make sure there is water in the Evap Cooler.

It is not that much water.
For every kilo of CO2 that you produce you will get about 0.8 kilo of water. Little less then a quarter Gallon.

Yeah.. it's pretty insignificant. As is the amount of propane this thing uses. Very little. It's like 8 little pilot lights that burn for 4 and a half minutes every hour and a half or so....depends on how often I go in and out of the room.

Your 40% humidity is working in your favor... As long as there's enough airflow and water for the roots you should be fine even if you hit the low 90's for a couple hours...

But regarding your question, i advice you against using the CFL's at all, they suck pretty bad... You're better off getting some hardware store LED's than using CFLs

I'm only using the CFLs until I get my Morsen 3000W. Its actual wattage is 500ish

So my plan is to get rid of the CFLs and put my morsen up top with my Giixers. But for now until i get my new light, these CFLs have really helped.

Everyone has access to propane. There are many propane co2 burners available on the market. All sorts of ways to skin that cat. I currently am running 2000 watts of HPS and 1110 watts of LED for a combined total of 3110 watts in my flower room in the middle of a summer heat wave. It gets very hot. I can't even run both LED's and my HID's at full power due to the heat presently. I still have a co2 burner to add. A 24k mini split is appropriate. I'm trying to achieve maximum output from my flower room, and I can't do that if I'm frying my plants with heat.
