Have you used defoliation to control stretch?

My previous grow took longer than I expected and the plants that I had in veg out grew the space I have in my flower tent. Plant's are too tall.

I always defoliate on day 1 and 21 of flower. This grow I'm going to do a second defoliation somewhere between days 7 and 10 of flower, with the hopes that the plant will put it's energy into growing new leaves instead of longer stems.

I'm wondering about doing a third defoliation at day 21. I strip the leaves at 3 weeks so I can put up my trellis when stretch is done. I'm concerned that the leaves may not grow back a third time, that maybe I should put the trellis up after the second D.

Thoughts?

You were bragging in another thread about defoliation ... you having Second thoughts on that now???

Innob do you mean like a Scrog?

I put in a trellis for support when stretch is done, scrogging would be interesting.

Yeah, could put a net over each pot so you can still move them around if need be.

Looks like not enough light during veg. That's what a long veg would look like with T5's in a crowded tent for me. Now I have 2 quantum boards in there running like 80-90 watts a piece instead of 300 watts of T5, and they're nice and tight, like a good girl should be.

Those BlackDog lights never looked good to me.
