Some preface. These ladies are 14 days old from sprout. this is my first grow, these three ladies are seeds from ilgm. The strain ww auto. The medium is different on all three. all environmental factors temp, light, and humidity have all been the same. The medium is as follows, the blue tag lady is in 100% Ace hardware brand potting mix with perlite and vermiculite added also one quarter cup of epsoma 5-2-6. The yellow tag lady is a 50-50 mix Ace hardware and kelloggs organic potting mix with perlite and vermiculite added and one quarter cup epsoma 5-2-6. The red tag lady is 100% kelloggs organic potting mix with more perlite and vermiculite added, no nutes. The first week all they got for water was ph'd in between 6.5 and 6.8. week two I've been giving them 2.5ml of gh FloraGro and FloraBloom with 1 ml CAL-MAG. PhD to 6.5 to 6.8. the first week I had them under florescent lights but the intensity wasn't enough so I swapped out for my spider farmer 2000. Also they are 24 hrs light. Now at the end of 14 days I feel one they are way too small for their age. And two the yellow tag and red are not as dark Green as the blue tag lady. And the red tag lady seems to be way behind the other two and looks as though she has some deficiency as does the yellow tag. Albeit the yellow tags growth is similar to the blue tag plant. So I decided to test the pH of the run off of the two potting mixes. My experiment was to take a pint of medium and flush it with twice the volume and take a pH. The water used for the flush was ph7.0 my results are as follows ace hardware brand phd to 7.2 and the kelloggs organic phd to 7.4 also the kelloggs does not hold water as well as the ace. I think this is apart of my problem. How can I fix this if this is so. am I to far up shit Creek

Ok calm down lol, shit I can’t read that high. Let’s goto the pics, they look pale, vermiculite is a bad idea, no to wood chips, big pot, little plant, wet? Too wet... that’s my answer, I saw you are feeding them, I don’t do dirt but 6.8 sounds alright. Slow growth with proper ph and feed is wet or shit light imo on a small plant like that.

Sorry about the long winded post. So the vermiculite I add was very little maybe 3 cups for a big pot. Also the wood chips came out of the kelloggs brand bag... So yeah I know not idea but I ran with it. As far as the water I have been watering very very little tonight is the first time in 3 days I gave them any water and the top two inches were dry I don't think I'm over watering but maybe I am. And the blue tag plant is green the pics don't really show true colors... Crappy camera my light is 18 inches above them should I lower it?

I'm with this guy. Personally I have always used Fox Farm Ocean Forest with straight water ONLY for the first 4 weeks then slowly introduce nutes from there. Ocean Forest has plenty of food for the plant during this time. But man they are alive so you are good....so far. I would also have started with a smaller pot. That large of a pot with that small of a root system must be hard keeping your root zone at a decent temp. When you do need to water keep the water as close to the stem as possible while its that small. Good luck!

Yeah I guess I'll order some ffof for next time. The reason they are in that big of a pot is I did not want to shock them from transplanting as they are autoflower I've been told that its best practice to start then in the container you finish them in...

I've only done auto's once, but anyhow keep in mind auto's are bred with Ruderalis which is by nature a smaller plant than Sativa for sure and also Indica. I did a NYCD by Joint Doctor YEARS ago and by the time it was done (around 90 to 120 days from seed pop) it was only about MAYBE 24". I'm not sure about what they are doing with auto's these days, but that is the only relatable info I can give. I can also remember thinking mine was growing slow and was small, but then it just took off one day. If you are judging your progress compared to pictures you've seen of photo period strains DON'T. You are in a different ball game.

I've seen that autos can vary in size greatly just depends on the breeders so I hear. I'll just keep going maybe they will surprise me I sure hope so lol

Yeah I'm really at a loss I'm not sure what I've done wrong unless off the hop when I had a light intensity problem that stunted their growth.... I'm half tempted to start another bean just to see how it fairs compared to these three honestly I'm thinking of grabbing a solo cup and letting it ride. If it does better than them I know I stunted them somehow. If it's the same then I'm leaning towards the soil mix but could of been the light intensity basically I didn't have my lights close enough...but not sure how that would stunt them

How often are you watering and how much?? That plays a huge factor in development. Also, because they’re in such big pots the roots are busy filling the pot. Plant grown will be slow during this time. It’s perfectly normal to have slow growth in a big pot because the plant is trying to fill it. Don’t fret too much, just let the plants go. Water only when the first inch of soil is dry and the plants start looking thirsty

Well the first week I was only giving them a half pint every 3 days or so then last week I increased it to one pint. Yesterday I gave each one liter.... And Evey time the top 1-2 inches was dry... So I'm still confused. But this morning I threw another bean in a solo cup with a 50-50 mix of perlite and potting mix nothing else watered in with two shot glasses of bottled water and put a dome over the increase humidity.

I'd definitely say drop the ph to 5.9-6.0, get some good veg/grow liquid nutes, start at 25%, work up to 100% if you can avoiding nute burn and hopefully they'll start taking off. What light are you growing with? Actual wattage if led, not comparable wattage? Right now I'm running AN because it's easy and I have the cash to spare, but truthfully there are a lot of good options. Being they're autos you need to get some growth on them quick before you're not yielding anything at all.

I'm using a spider Farmer 2000 it's a 200 watt light it's 18 inches away from the tops. I have gh flora trio nutes available. And yeah if I don't get any good growth soon I might as well Chuck them. And start over... Should I try to flush my pots with water phd at 6.0 next watering? I think it's the medium locking out the plants.... This is what they look like right now.

You’re throwing way too much water on them. You should only be watering half a cup to a cup of water every couple days. This liter of water is WAY too much...

Half a pint is about one cup of water one pint is two cups and one liter is four cups. And I just gave them one liter yesterday so I won't be watering them again probably till Tuesday at the earliest more than likely Thursday next week.
