Lighting?

So I've dumped about 600 into my set up so far, currently running a cheap giixer "1000w" inside of a 2x4 tent which is doing good for the 2 younglings but I've been hearing theyre no good for flower - being price conscious but also keeping end result in mind, what would some of y'all recommend? I'm wanting bigger yields but I can't drop a whole lot of coin.

or if you're not stuck on it being LED, a 600 HPS setup is going to give you the most bang for your buck, IMO, with a high quality bulb and an air cooled hood.
How much would that bump my bill to be on a 16/8 schedule? I don't know much about lighting but I'm just trying to avoid a spike in bill that might raise questions - probably being too paranoid but just want to play safe

Noone cares about your electric bill. I would guess maybe 50$ a month. 600w is to much for a 2x4. 400W max. thats 50W/square foot which is the perfect amount of light.

If you need air cooling (which you probably will) this is a decent setup

But you will want to buy a better bulb for flowering like this one and keep the one it comes with as a spare.

Or get a 315 CMH. This is an amazing deal on this light. Ive never seen them under 390$. 200 is a steal!

The Led from hlg id about 250 bucks i thin(in states). It will be a little easier on the electric bill and is dimmable to what you need. Not to mention the heat is far less.
