Water freezes, try hitting a barrel of ice in winter when they are used the most, the sand is kept dry too.
Ya know, if ya could map the dispersal of the grain around the site, you could calculate if the grain in the elevators attenuated the blast for the remaining structure. How many tons of grain were ejected through the roof? Can give you how much energy was required to do it, perhaps a paper or thesis for some aspiring young person. Lessons can be learned from this, other than the obvious!citation
Think positive thoughts! I figure it's a matter of practicality and maintenance costs, shooting a ton of water into the air is probably the best way, but other things can work too. I remember now seeing one cracked a bit by a minor impact and there was sand in it, Also the round plastic container walls are bolted together, are heavy and the lids are light and meant to pop off as the container deforms.Well, if the barrel is frozen, when you hit it then Julian will have fresh ice cubes for his cocktail.
That’s what happens when your not on the up and up/lazy workersCrazy.
Not in San DiegoWater freezes
I envy @potroast for that sometimes, then I remember Trump and covid, and would prefer my freezing island at the end of the world, though covid was here too, gone for now.Not in San Diego
But the earth shakes, the fires burn and the droughts brown the lawns, not many mosquitoes though. Not in San Diego
You clearly missed season 2 episode 7 with the high speed chase BroncoThink positive thoughts! Provided he can hold onto the glass as he's ejected through the windshield and slides a mile down the top of the concrete median, screaming all the way...
Hammers and Ammonia nitrate. Here, hold my beer.
Yup quite the explosion!!! Thats not a citation jsyk lol. How’s the Covid air filtration system design coming? I am going to regret that question aren’t I lol.Ya know, if ya could map the dispersal of the grain around the site, you could calculate if the grain in the elevators attenuated the blast for the remaining structure. Also, the energy required to move the grain around and the air spaces between it will absorb energy, should make it similar foamed aluminum which can greatly attenuate a blast wave by collapsing and absorbing the pulse. They market panels of it ( I believe) as a way to blast proof buildings. A couple of inches in front of reinforced concrete makes an amazing difference, as seen on TV anyway.
Sometimes it's just fun to think about things, I usually like to talk about ideas, and not so much about politics or people. Thanks DonaldYup quite the explosion!!! Thats not a citation jsyk lol. How’s the Covid air filtration system design coming? I am going to regret that question aren’t I lol.
that's cause there's no standing water like the everglades or afternoon rain sometimes 2x/day..humidity so high it's like breathing through a wet sponge..those little larvae thrive in that shit. But the earth shakes, the fires burn and the droughts brown the lawns, not many mosquitoes though.
there is absolutely NOTHING that can't be fixed with hammer, nails and ammonium nitrate.
