Please help guys, white fuzzy mold

Hey guys,

I recently put my stuff in jars and I put my best quality stuff in a big jar with some 55% humidity packs. I guess a few were not dry enough and two big colas so far have white fuzzy mold on them (but only in the inside part, not on outside of bud). I and checking them all and only those 2 so far. I got some from paper bags and am putting all the other bud from that jar that was not infected in the bags for a few more days of drying in case and then I am switching jars once I cure again. Is it ok to still keep the other bud that was not infected? I don't know what else to do. Humidity was only at 45-47% in the jar. How could mold have formed?? Should I trim the bud instead of having the giant nugs? Would that help prevent mold?

Sell that bud to your friends..

Are you burping the jars?

The bigger nugs were on a drying rack for 6 days. Jared the smaller ones a bit sooner since they dryer sooner. The 2 infected colas were the big nugs. Gone through all and it was only those 2 for some reason. Am I good to keep the others?

Yeah you're good as long as you don't see mold.

6 days is very short for a drying period. Unless your space is like 30% humidity they were likely still moist in the middle which prob caused your issue.

Not sure what your situation is like or if it's possible for your next harvest, but hanging to dry in a room for 2 weeks with a dehumidifier set at 60% will give you perfect buds ready for the jar every time.

Roger that, Thanks man. It's always a panic when you see a big issue that could ruin all the time and care I've put into these girls. How long should I keep them in the paper bags you think? You think I should trim down the bigger bugs to smaller size?

OK then yes bag is needed. You're going to 'sweat' the buds. Leave overnight in bag and check in the morning. If buds are soft, leave out a few hours or however long until the outside is firm, and then back into bags. Repeat until buds reach consistency and then into the jar. Check daily the same way until they're consistent. Fluffy or medium dense buds should be firm but flex slightly like a sponge. Rock hard indica buds obviously won't flex.

6 days is a really fast dry time. They needed at least another week to be jar ready. Drying is the part you don’t wanna get wrong.
