Here are a couple of shots inside one of my buddy's nursery rooms with COB LED units. A couple small mars units in the background. I'll have him send me some pics of his flower rooms. I'm a little jealous of that co2 burner.

I'm sorry, your evidence that they used 301b diodes in their light is a posting by a confused reviewer? Show me where it says that in their specs anywhere. Thanks for confirming my point that they used a less effecient driver though, and yeah I am going to split hairs, because not all Meanwell drivers are equal. 901% efficiency vs 94% means something to me in fact.

I bought kits. Really nothing close to double the cost of the knockoffs. Maybe 35% or so for something with the same components.

Everything they get their hands on they counterfeit.... Anyone read the story about the fake rice ? .... plastic bits. Seriously.
Mars Hydro / Spider Farmer ( same co. ) drop ships from same distribution points ( same countries / same locations ) , those “ Alibaba “ versions are actually the pre-labeled ones before any fancy stickers . So you get the unit without the pinstriping , YIPPEE.
So what ? Same fucking light , same fucking build quality , same Mass Produced expendable lights.

I would rather pay for the build quality , actual led bin , no issue warranty , and know I got what I paid for. Pros and cons follow all lights. Alibaba is infested with vendors using the HLG trope with decent knockoffs , even knockoffs of other vendor knockoffs , but all taken with a grain of salt.

It’s like buying Dr. Fiesta instead of Real Dr. Pepper

Shit sometimes I wish I still had that option. When I lived in California there was always good deals on used equipment. Now that I'm in Ireland It's a different story.

Ever watch the Irish TV series called Hardy Bucks? Kinda like the Irish Trailer Park Boys minus the trailer park. I thought it was funny. Saw it on Netflix a while ago.
