the nice thing about the soil is it is pretty strong out of the bag but not overly strong ive only had to add nutes twice and i started flower a few weeks ago. i use the fox farm trio tho when i do add nutes. mostly grow big and tiger bloom. i also use GH quickstart to help with rooting of my small plants for the first few weeks.

I only go to the shop close to my house and they dont have a big selection but their main ones are ffof and happy frog i cant say ive paid attention to any of the others
I'd get the FFOF if it's local. I bought like 13 bags a couple years ago for about $13 a bag. I'm actually still using it, but I've turned it into no-till since.

I'm not a fan of the Fox Farm nutes though, except Big Bloom since it's organic. I've only used organic nutrients since I got mine.

If I could only choose from the two. Then it would be happy frog. Because, you can start young plants in HF without burn issue. FFOF, will burn a seedling or clone every time. From my exp.. Roots organics Greenfield soil is my go too anymore. It's just a better quality. From my perspective, and my plants also. You can buy HF and then use as a base soil, add dry nutes in the right ratio. And ya can have your own super soil mix.

What is the difference between the green field and the original mix?

The first round with straight FFOF I used Earth Juice. I kinda followed this guys final Earth Juice formula. I also added a little EWC to the tea each time I made it. It was my tastiest and stinkiest grow yet, but it was a lot of work doing teas everytime.

First round with FFOF and EJ.

Now I'm trying to just top dress, and haven't made a tea in months. My plants would love me if I did, it's just more work and I'm trying to simplify things. I'm trying to figure out now whether it was the guano in the EJ or the teas themselves, so I just started experimenting with dried guano. Supposedly guano adds kinda a mango flavor and I would say that's a great way to explain how my first batch tasted.

It's that there's just a couple more organic amendments in the greenfield mix as opposed to there original or there 707 mix. If ya go to the roots organics website then they list every organic amendments mix in each soil line of there's. Dry Nutes Rock though in any organic soil...

I've been getting most of my stuff from Build a Soil anymore. I've already spent about a grand there now, lol.

My new bucket of Craft Blend just came today.
