I’m new to growing and I was wondering if anyone could help me choose a 1000w light for under £500 for a 5x5 gorilla grow tent. I’ll probably be planting 10 plants with 3 gallon pots in case anyone was wondering
LedHps or cmh
It’s the cheapest one I’ve found but if you have any better cheaper suggestions please send the links to me. I’ve heard it’s 3-9 times more thicker than any other grow tent which I assume makes it less likely to have light leaks. You are concerned about money but spent way too much on a grow tent?
Dont get me wrong great tent but have had my vivosun 5x5 for almost 2 years now and just like new. One of my last tent upgrades will be to a gorilla though. It’s the cheapest one I’ve found but if you have any better cheaper suggestions please send the links to me. How much did the vivosun cost because I’d rather get a decent grow tent and better light. Lights are the most important in any grow tent I suppose. Also you did mention that you were also using a 5x5 could you tell me what light I should get preferably an led so I can use it from seedling till harvest.Dont get me wrong great tent but have had my vivosun 5x5 for almost 2 years now and just like new. Nope PH is the absolute most important thing. You could have everything top of the line but improper ph adjustments could burn your plant up before it even gets halfway through flower. How much did the vivosun cost because I’d rather get a decent grow tent and better light. Completely forgot about ph levels it is the little things that count. Thank you for telling me not to go too expensive on a grow tent I found a different 5x5 tent from gorilla and ive probably saved around £150-£200 that extra money can be spent on either 2 600w lights or 1 big light but not too big because I don’t want my plants having heat stressNope PH is the absolute most important thing. Growing weed is not cheap and actually can be overwhelming at first. The rule you get what you pay for absolutely applies. The tent is actually last thing I plan on upgrading and only was $125. Those gorillas are nice but I dont think over 500 nice lol. You are right though lights and proper nutrients are something not to go cheap on. Horticulture is actually affordable for the DIY build section and one of best light companies out there today.
Bro like I said vivosun is a great beginner tent. 5x5 is a perfect choice as well. You really want to start with some decent lights HLG qb96 v2s and bars. I'll show you a picture I got UVA's and far red flower initiators as well but started hella basic at beginning. Also no need to fill up tent immediately start with just two 5 gal fabric potted plants. Fabric pots provide amazing aeration to roots. Best to start small because chances are you will fuck up but that's part of the learning process.Completely forgot about ph levels it is the little things that count. Could I use the HLG qb96 v2’s from seedling to harvest because I can’t be asked to keep changing the light. Thanks for the pictures btw hope u get big yields with frosty budsBro like I said vivosun is a great beginner tent. 5x5 is a perfect choice as well. That is their top seller. The diablo 648 single board and 660 full set looks very impressive.Could I use the HLG qb96 v2’s from seedling to harvest because I can’t be asked to keep changing the light. Thanks for the pictures btw hope u get big yields with frosty buds
Absolutely man 100,000 hour life span. Also check out their saber 100s for even canopy coverage.Could I use the HLG qb96 v2’s from seedling to harvest because I can’t be asked to keep changing the light. Thanks for the pictures btw hope u get big yields with frosty buds
The hlg320-54A or AB is more suitable due to voltage regulation. At spec the 54B will onlyy drive each qb96 to around 150w max. That is their top seller. The diablo 648 single board and 660 full set looks very impressive.
So every 2x hlg qb96 v2s requires a meanwell hlg 340h 54B for max even wattage output between the two boards then just add more boards or switch it up. LEDs have opened up the spectrum world for us that is so much fun. I wont even begin to explain the effects of 660nm deep red and 730nm far red phytoclone process for faster flowering. Dont want to confuse you too much.
Hey Rocket. I've never laid hands on this exact model, but according to the datasheet the HLG-320H-54AB only offers internal current adjustment and leads to wire a current dimmer to. As far as I know, the 320 watt CV + CC drivers are the only "AB" models in the HLG series that do not offer internal voltage adjustment. The hlg320-54A or AB is more suitable due to voltage regulation. If you check out that sheet and look for Vo adjust you should find it next to Io adjust.Hey Rocket. Do you think the datasheet is incorrect? If you check out that sheet and look for Vo adjust you should find it next to Io adjust.
Cant find the test report for the 54AB but the 48AB does have the internal, screwdriver voltage adjustment as indicated in reeport sheet so im pretty sure the 54AB will have it.
My point is that a qb96 only draws 151w at 54V so it you use a 54B driver @ spec then you will be leaving some watts unused.
One vexing thing here is that the "report" on 54B doesnt exist, just one on "54" in general.
Actually i see what you mean now, the Vo adjust turns up on the C version. Strange, id check with meanwell. In any case id always go for voltage regulation, so A or C model is preferable. If you check out that sheet and look for Vo adjust you should find it next to Io adjust.
